ahh icic. i read some reviews ppl say not worth it for the "LE" price tag

There's no watch beyond a $12 Casio that's worth it tbh.

Is a Rolex, Steinhart or Seiko worth it? Not really. If you like it then it's worth it; if you don't then it's worthless..

Looking to purchase the Orient Sun and Moon Ver 3. What do you guys think about it? Would you recommend something other than this for the price range of $500 and below?

I think it’s a nice piece and good value for money if you get the right price. The latest layout is also an improvement so well worth the premium over v2.

Catch - a little large and bulky for that style but that’s just personal preference. Suggest you try it out on the wrist first.

Hi! Thanks for your reply :) any idea where I could find that watch? Don’t really see much orient watches around or maybe I’m looking at the wrong places. I don’t know much about watches and only own a seiko v2 monster black red.

I’m debating on the orient piece and the sarb seiko series. I have also realise the sun and moon might be too big for my wrist so I will definitely try it on first before taking the plunge.

What are your thoughts on the sarb035 and sarb033? Also, other than these 3 models mentioned, any other you think is worth recommending? Would really appreciate it!
Go Bras Brasah. See the address below. Can negotiate but must be firm. My wife wanted the Sun and Moon and I bought a few pieces so pls don’t ask me for the price I got though. Just pay a price you’re happy with.

Thanks a lot! Will try out that shop. On a side note, would you have any recommendations for other watches of similar calibre to the seiko cocktail time (sarb065)?

6R15 got a lot of options, mostly Presage. The SARB033/035 you mentioned earlier use that calibre, and are a good size. You just need to take note that prices have gone up after Seiko announced discontinuation, and I feel personally that they're a little crazy now, but if that's also because the SARB033/035 were priced very low, especially on the grey market.

Cocktail time is great with an amazing dial, just that it uses Hardlex (tough to get a sapphire in that beautiful dome). I'd say that if you like the look go for it. But there's so many options in Seiko amongst that style that you should just shop around and try it out, before zooming in on a particular model and then go for the price you like.

P.S. Also look at Orient Star which is very value for money. Finishing is usually one level up from Seiko in the same price bracket, but you just need to be aware that the price retention is definitely not as good as Seiko's.

I know it's a long shot, but do any of the fellow bros here know where in Bangkok would have a high chance where I can score the white Seiko Samurai - SNM009? Or even some other models not usually found in SG? :)
