^ refer to above. people want to spend $40k on a Rolex, you huan lo?
if you have a 40k rolex thats an investor or jewelry person not a watch collector

you just simply buy a rolex hoping that value can be sold to others for profit

you are not there to appreciate a rolex

tudor has everything of rolex DNA since both are same company

if you have a 5k tudor or 40k lange, yes thats a watch collector because the person who bought the tudor or lange did it for the horology standpoint

rolex is not worn by horology collectors

it is a brand for flippers who buy it hoping the price will increase

there is very little product differentiation and pricing differentiation between tudor and rolex too

for the tudor black bay series of watches, rolex makes a higher quality in house movement, higher quality clasp and has a ceramic bezel over aluminum bezel, which does not justify the premium paid for the same watch made by tudor

he goes on and on about "horological value" and "craftsmanship" and "art" but has no idea who Dufour is...

what a waste of bandwidth for his posts

he already deemed everyone that wears a rollie is a flipper or wearing a stack of cash on wrist, anytime to cash on the watch.

yeah only he is the worthy whorologist, while we are all scums of the earth, and must receive his wisdom about what Rolex is or isn't. /s

Even Dufour bows down to him. Dufour also buys Rolex to flip... or so he believes.

either flipper or a particular brand of watch especially popularly and always offered as a 7th month offering

horology is polluted with people who looking to make a quick buck

im just a horological purist with a discerning eye to differentiate between those who believe in horological art, eg. gerald genta, hautlence , romain jerome and those who merely use a brand to speculate with no deep appreciation for horology in general
