I don't think cannot do, just whether good rep or not. But I suppose people who buy reps do want it to look like the real deal, not some terrible ripoff that can be seen as rep from a mile away. I also think that most people who think of Lange will think of the complication type, therefore there is probably limited demand for a rep Saxonia (which can be produced, just don't flip around lor like I said - it's thin, has no seconds hand and the design is simple, not that hard to replicate the look).

Anyways, I don't know much about rep, but I think there are some rep forums and based on a quick check, there is a Lange subsection...

there's super rep and there's pasar malam rep.
lange i don't think they have super rep now.
the finishing of the movement, totally not worth to replicate.

the only few super reps out there are mostly closed case back.
AP diver, Rolexes and Panerais.

the Panerai 372 - almost super rep except the movement is up side down iirc

I think the top factories are capable of decent level finishing so the replica watch is still convincing even with a display back.

This is a replica PP324. The finishing when you look closely under a loupe has some rough edges (bevels not smooth enough, Geneva stripes and movement graining looks iffy, engraving is uneven) but to the untrained eye and without a real PP324 to compare with, it is a decent enough clone.

to be honest, patek basic movement like these, the finishing is meh, even for the gen.
lange finishing is no joke.
how to replicate? worth it bo? how much can it sell? 1k? 2k? once replica hits a certain price point, nobody will buy already. except those idiots kena tok for paying 2k for an sub par AP diver replica

Finishing isn't just about aesthetic beauty though. When I was looking at getting my PP I went to ALS boutique to experience their watches too, being that they were the famous competitor. While the looks of the movement of ALS is way better in terms of color and cosmetic handwork, the mechanical aspect is miles behind Patek.

For the same complication (I was looking at Perpetual Calendar Flyback Chronograph vs Datograph Perpetual), the overall thickness of Patek is 12.4 mm with up to 65 hr power reserve while the thickness of ALS is 14.6 mm with up to 36 hr power reserve.

I dont think the bezel is period correct or could be a new bezel

Rolex alot of these problems, people keep changing and swapping aftermarket parts due to extensive flipping until it become franken watch

Original Mark IV bezel. When I first saw it, I cant believe the condition as well. Looked under the loop and its not service bezel. the 18 mark will give it away if its a service bezel.

5270 don't have Flyback function.
honestly. i would choose the lange over patek based on finishing, also because it's 70k cheaper
however, the patek salmon dial is sexy

Ah you're right, I was mistaken about it. Somehow always assumed it had flyback.

Yup the photos of the Lange movement drew me to check them out at the ALS boutique, the blue screws against the pink jewels is very visually appealing, the case thickness and low power reserve just didn't do it for me though. Especially up to 36 hr on a manual wind means winding it almost every day.
