Edit: BTW, after months of holding on to both 3861 sapphire and 1861, I think I’m going to keep the 3861.
Any suggestions to what could be a fair trade for a well kept, LNIB 1861? TIA.

Grats! Lovely piece, definitely special. Was eyeing it but I think the L2L would be too long for me. The day wheel very cute.
Thanks! The smiley definitely catches the attention. L2L still manageable for me. The time reading takes some getting used too though 😆

How does the community here feel about Homage brands like Steinhart??
It looks really good but it bothers me it doesn't have magnetic shielding:

How come most people don't wear watches nowadays?

City Chain pays high rental, but now has to give up to 70% discount to generate some cashflow.

Is the watch business a dying industry, which is being replaced by smartphones which give a very accurate time?

Remember one time, everybody who was anybody would carry a compact digital camera (Olympus, Nikon, Canon, Casio...) but when the smartphone camera got better, the compact camera industry died.
