WOW!! you are right! the person I have spoken to was indeed Vicky Wong. Seems like the bad service which I have experienced was not an isolated case.

Since writing to Swatch Switzerland or their head is a futile attempt, then I can only stand my ground and have them admit that the watch is defective. Its just illogical that a reputable watch brand can spoil so easily just from tapping.

Thanks for your advice.

if not you get your AD to send it in for you.

Once the item is in Swatch's hands, they die die have to service. :s13:

I suspect tissot warranty cost expense (provision) is not high...tts y they wun take in your watch.

If you have a longines or an omega, it may be a different case

My AD said it is better for me to bring it down by myself cos it will take a longer time for him to send the watch back to the service centre. I bought my watch from the Kwang Guan @ Bras Basah.

Oh... Is it that I could also asked my AD to check if my watch is defective, so he as the AD can verify of the defect with swatch service centre?

Hi Bros out there,

anybody can advise on the ongoing discount for omega watches?

cheers.

The usual retailers such as THG will offer 8% but can usually get more than 10% if you try hard enough. The official omega boutiques will give u 5%. If you go to those retailers that get overseas sets, can probably hit 15%.

force your AD to send it in, once dey accept it, dun tink they will reject service.

or you go to overseas svc center, maybe KL?

or you try soft approaches, with the PR skills you have

or try for 1 day when vicky is not around
(most likely you were served by vicky wong, and you suay suay bump into her)

vicky might not be around on mondays

or get your gf or male friends act blur and send it in for you.
but they must know what is wrong.

but if vicky is around, maybe back to square one

if not, you go PERSONALLY to swatch HQ at comtech, alexandra terrace during office hours to speak to their tissot representative directly.

if fail, escalate to the highest ranked swatch boss present

Could be one of those internal parts of your watch had dropped onto the dial

Haha i teach you...if u are scared of offending him...you can bring one more watch for him to change battery so he can earn $$ in indirect ways

But make sure he is the not the one who anyhow scratch or do things...

If not you must really spend $$ to go to proper watch shop....

A proper watch should not suddenly have any unnecessary matter on dial after battery change :)

Later the other watch also sacrifice jiu...good game le. Before battery change clean clean one, after that got that silvery dust and 1 shred of thin thin strip like drop from the dial lo (cos same color as the dial).
Damn poor skills, sad

Hi bros, my watch spoilt and I'm looking to replace it. I'm 28, working professional, looking for a watch that I can wear for a couple of years. Can give me some recommendations for a watch for a budget of 500-800?
I'll be in HK mid June, are watches cheaper there?

What do you think of this article?
Best Watch Brands: Watch Snob - AskMen

There are plenty of brands that most people consider “high-end” that, while I respect, simply aren’t superlative in any way: IWC, Vacheron, Piaget, and Zenith all make nice watches, but they are meaningless.

"Then there are watches that only the uneducated and simpleminded believe to be luxury watches. This distinction goes to Hublot and Panerai, of course. Anyone who buys these watches is a fool, and both companies will shut their doors before I turn 40 -- you can count on that."

The above is true.
