Amid all the Rolexes and Omegas, pls allow me to share my humble Vostok Komandirskie "Tank":
New strap arrived for my "Tank" :)

A few more things I've learnt:
  • The case is approx. 40mm, but the lugs are really short, so overall, the watch wears small
  • Spring bars are hard to take out, even with a spring bar tool :(
  • Stuff from Natozulu are sent via Singpost and arrive in 3 days (posted on Mon, arrived on Wed)
  • The 18mm Bond Nato strap fits my slim wrists very well
  • I tried taking a lume shot, but the result was pretty pathetic :s8:

I couldn't agree with you more! The service centre does not address the problem of the watch but only to push the blame back to the consumer for intended mishandling.

I was appalled by the staff remarks when she claimed that the misaligned Chronograph hand was attributed by my action of tapping. Btw, the staff who i spoke to is the manager of the Singapore Swatch Group Service Centre at the wheelock. From her responses, it was clear to see she was insincere to render help and to admit the watch is indeed defective.

Would like to know if there is any way to get a verification from Tissot that their watch is not capable of taking the impact of tapping? Speaking to the staff from the service centre leads no where.

You must have dealt with Vicky Wong.

My understanding and your understanding should be - The watch was already like this under normal circumstance. So it is no fault of yours that it has the problem it already had.

This must be their understanding. By the way, even if you send email to swatch switzerland or their SEA head, also the same thing. Cannot go up chain of command one.

You must insist your way.

My advice to you, for the next course of action is to take photos of the watch, send the photos to yourself thru email to get the timestamp, drop it in again, see her at wheelock place and make them accept it because it is definitely not through any fault of yours that this has happened.

Regardless of whatever that transpired, always remember that it is something related to the internal workings of the watch, and should be dealt with accordingly, and swiftly.

Your warranty is your best protection.

Read up the terms and conditions of the warranty card or/and booklet and convince her, in order to fight for your right! Jia you!

I own a tissot too! :p

Dress watch size guideline?

Guys,

I read in some other forums people mention 38-40mm will be appropriate dress watch size. Is there such a guide?

My wrist is 6inch. The largest watch I have is 41mm Tissot Tradition Perpetual. At this size, the edge of the watch is about the same as the edge of my wrist but the lugs stick out a little. Is this considered too big for a dress watch or not an appropriate way to wear a dress watch?

Thanks.

Hi all.

I am very interested in purchasing a Tissot Traditional Rose Gold PVD Chronograph/Gent Gold PVD Classic or a Tissot V8 Men Ivory Chronograph or Tissot Carson Men's Automatic Rose Gold PVD Classic.

Anyone owns one/knows of one, or can recommend me a suitable place/price to get?

Tissot Official Shop put at USD 495 for Chronograph Rose Gold, USD 350 for Gent Gold, USD 375 for V8 Men and USD 725 for the Carson Men's.

WOW!! you are right! the person I have spoken to was indeed Vicky Wong. Seems like the bad service which I have experienced was not an isolated case.

Since writing to Swatch Switzerland or their head is a futile attempt, then I can only stand my ground and have them admit that the watch is defective. Its just illogical that a reputable watch brand can spoil so easily just from tapping.

Thanks for your advice.

Could be one of those internal parts of your watch had dropped onto the dial

Haha i teach you...if u are scared of offending him...you can bring one more watch for him to change battery so he can earn $$ in indirect ways

But make sure he is the not the one who anyhow scratch or do things...

If not you must really spend $$ to go to proper watch shop....

A proper watch should not suddenly have any unnecessary matter on dial after battery change :)

Vicky wong of swatch is not easy to deal with....you must be persuasive....

She sees customers day and night..

She knows what you will say and how to respond..

So you gotta be prepared :)
