I think I saw this at JEM :

Watch%20Winder%202_1.jpg

Is it reliable ?

The boxy brand from Vincent watch is a much better. Uses a Japan Mabuchi motor and has 3 TPD settings. There are few models, some run on AC only. I have one of them and on 2xD alkaline cell, it lasts about 6~7 months if always on. If you only using the winder on weekends, it can easily last 1 year on battery. :)

Any recommendations for straps for longines legend diver? I kinda hate the normal strap which comes with it.. feels very tacky and cheap.

Lugs are 22mm. Don't swim and don't really require something that can tahan sweat cos I'm going in a cold country to further my studies so yeah.
Tropic rubber? Mesh?

Try Google for "Longines Legend Diver strap options".

Fortis Spacematic

Hi fellows. Got some questions:

Qn1
Are Fortis watches like super unpopular? I took a walk around Bencoolen & the general watch stores (places that stock Seiko, Tissot, Citizen, Cyma, etc), & can't really find Fortis watches for sale? I haven't paid a visit to places like THG, Sincere, Cortina yet...

Qn2a
Which version, do you fellows think, looks nicer? Personally, I'd like the non-Yuri-Gagarin edition because in my opinion, the chunk of words on the left-side of the dial is quite an eye-sore (to me):

Qn2b
I'd only found a shop in Peninsula Shopping Centre that sells the YG limited eidtion of the Spacematic GMT above. Anybody knows where I can get the non-YG edition? The shop in Peninsula SC told me the YG edition was only published in 300 units across the world, & now is not being produced anymore, & he has one of the few pieces left. But I'm looking for the normal, non-YG edition...

Qn3
Come to think of it: the shop in Peninsula SC that I visited, is the one super near the entrance (facing Peninsula Plaza). Is this shop reliable? I wanted to pay the new King Wah (ACube or something) a visit because I know they used to do Fortis, but the other day when I was there ACube is closed.

Qn4
Anybody knows what the last letter of Fortis watches signify? Because for the normal Spacematic GMT, I saw a 642.22.11L & a 642.22.11M model? I wonder if this actually means different sizes? Of lugs, Of straps?

Qn5
Any reliable watch shop that I can actually buy this Spacematic GMT non-limited edition online?

Qn6
Actually, I like watches that have "tarnished" bezel colour, i.e. like this Spacematic, the U1 & red/orange hands/markers on a black dial appearance. Any other recommendations (>40mm)? Not the U1 though, because I have not a prefernece for its hands' design.

Need some opinions between a Squale Atmos 20 Classic, Steinhart Ocean Vintage Military or Seiko Sumo for casual wear.

If u dont mind winding the watch n adjusting the date each time u wear it, then u dont need a winder. The winder is just to keep the watch running at its min TPD.

Of the 3, only the Sumo doesn't have that Submariner-wannabe look. Followed by the OVM.

A common complaint about the Sumo is the case diameter-lug width ratio. Some also dislike the fat bezel font.

My order just arrived at home today!

A 47mm Luminor Submersible 1950 Amagnetic 3 Days Automatic Titanio. Now that is a mouthful!

I changed out the strap to a brown one, for a bit of uniqueness!

Nice pam. Good that someone is into the submersible models. Fell in love with pam after I saw it. The bezel looks really good! Wear it good health and lastly gxgx!

Thanks gaoxing & dimitri! Was kenna surprised that it came so soon. I was thinking that it would arrive next month.

I love the sub too and was looking at the Pam 25 before I was introduced to the 389. Love at 1st sight. I know that this may sound like a heresy but I was attracted to the 389 more than the iconic 372.

As for the L2L, I will measure it once I get it back from my dad. He "watch-napped" it for dinner tonight.

Haha!
