I was trying the Breguet La Tradition yellow gold just now, a watch I had liked for the longest time. It looked just so good on me; my wife and even our 12yr old cousin agreed that it looks much better than the Patek, on my wrist.

But a Patek is a Patek. And yes I'm sounding like a brand *****. In fact, I AM a brand *****.

Sigh.

frankly speaking......breguet and PP are not well known brands in SG wat. at least to the commoners out there.

but thing is now breguet belongs to swatch group.. servicing and warranty wise all go same places with tissot,.hamilton etc..?

under swatch grp many brands sia.

what ahboy mentioned is true, i think not many people knows pp as well, unless is one who is into watches.. if he knws pp then shld most prob heard of breguet.

Isn't PP n Breguet same 'ranking'? I like Breguet too... But looks funny on wrist.:(

Breguet was once more prestigious than it is today before they were acquired by swatch group. That goes the same for blancpain.

Patek is still family owned and that makes them continue to be exclusive. Swatch group is a very commercial and marketing oriented company so top brands under them seems to.be losing their shine.

I would get pp over breguet as it's better known, arguably better finished and resale also better.

Snob factor confirm pp wins as not many non wis every heard of breguet.

Breguet did advertise quite a bit for a while.....not sure about now.

Yes, SNOB factor PP wins. Which my wife actually asks whether I am getting the PP just because of that. That's why I said I'm a brand *****. But the La Tradition....... just sits so well on my wrist. Not forgetting how much we have adored it for so long.

Or maybe I'll wait around for a preowned La Tradition. Brand new almost 30k. Preowned last seen sold in sept for 18k. But the difference between new and preowned PP isn't much afaik - might as well get a new one.
