Breguet did advertise quite a bit for a while.....not sure about now.

Yes, SNOB factor PP wins. Which my wife actually asks whether I am getting the PP just because of that. That's why I said I'm a brand *****. But the La Tradition....... just sits so well on my wrist. Not forgetting how much we have adored it for so long.

Or maybe I'll wait around for a preowned La Tradition. Brand new almost 30k. Preowned last seen sold in sept for 18k. But the difference between new and preowned PP isn't much afaik - might as well get a new one.

i'm looking for 2nd hand tag heuer steve mcqueen monaco blue face with case back. cant find anywhere. monster time selling one but no case back.......

No, Breguet is below PP.

But to me, they are both very good watch to own just that I have not enough $$$..............................

In 1999, the THG asked moi to get a Breguet Marine over the Rolex Yachtmaster at a price of $10.4K as he told me it's a better investment.

But the leather one looked really nice on a PP 5712 RG.

La Tradition.

I sweat easily so prefers bracelet; my straps hardly last a year. and the PP leather strap looks difficult to get an aftermarket.

And the steel looks more like a "sleeper" watch I can wear overseas. And versatile for most purposes.

But yes, the gold is really nice.

The price for the PP is better back here in Singapore than Japan right? Around 35k?

Price for the pp steel from AD is about 44k - probably can squeeze a bit more. And low in stock - at least I know the PP outlet at ION had none on hand; and a THG and Cortina outlet I asked had only one each.

The rose gold from gey is about 50-ish.

Grey dealers for steel about 38k. I do not know where one can get PPs authenticated though. Used prices also around 36k.

Its cheaper in Japan (jackroad) but they have no stock. Also due to the weak yen (81 now).

Frankly speaking most common people won't know about PP or breguet, and almost all WIS will know about those brands. Both are impressive brands to a WIS.

Personally i would rather see a non-common and unique looking la tradition as compared to the usual PP. The breguet you chose is more attractive visually as compared to the PP you chose.

I agree though. That's the suggestion I make for others too: always buy the one you like.

I might end up getting both; not together though, probably look for a preowned Breguet.

Thought you only like bracelet ? The la tradition is on leather also I guess?

Anyway Breguet good to buy used as the resale is not good but la tradition seldom comes up in the pre owned market.
PP buy new cos resale value is high partly due to scarcity of stocks..

In the end I reckon you may get both ...

I prefer bracelet because my straps rot very quickly. But of course leather straps really bring out the classy feel - and I'm in long sleeve shirts for work daily.

Yes I reckon as well. Did some research.

Breguet brand new 28k - preowned 18k.
PP brand new 44k - preowned 36k.

getting both is ideal but then again...... the money could have been spent better elsewhere.
