quite a good price eh, here is more ex. definitely can hoot.

Thanks for all the advice. Yes i read on Sg roc the AD in Sg is controlling the price to limit discount for Omega from 8% to 15% at best.

Price offered to me in Malaysia sold without receipt though. Best thing is, credit card can be used!

Salesman say warranty stil valid without receipt. Is this true? Will lack of receipt affect me in future anyway?

Abit worried bout second hand value. Not sure what other brands that's able to provide me an alternative to Omega now in terms of brand and history, movement and price (6k budget), second hand value (role out cos width small and pricey) . Sifu here can recommend?

Thanks.

No receipt ? How to claim the warranty when wanted to service ? :s8:

.

No receipt really depends when u bring watch to service. Service center may want to check receipt for date of purchase incase ppl abuse by dating a later date on warranty card. Another thing they may want to ensure Local AD is not giving more discount than the controlled.

It's a risk to take if u need watch to get service.

My nomos and oris service center did request to see receipt to claim warranty.

As for resale value not affected, it's good to show that u real thing esp when u decide to sell it online

Means the day, date, month will always be correct even in leap years.

Is it this kind of watch u cannot let it stop and must continue running. If not, need to send back to its service center for adjustment ?

From personal experience, i have sent several Omega watches to SWATCH Singapore and SWATCH Beijing/Shanghai for servicing. They DO NOT require your receipt. They only look at your warranty card. Your warranty card will NEED TO BE STAMPED BY YOUR AD AND DATED. If there is no date and no AD stamp then the warranty is invalid.

Anything else is on a case by case basis. For example, i lost my box and cards for one of my Omegas but had the purchase receipt; SWATCH was kind enough to still provide me with repair under warranty.

So basically receipt is not needed as long as your warranty card is present, stamped and dated.

Appreciate some advise on this for my virgin watch.

Also where can I view and feel the largest range of Breitling and Ball watches?

Ball and Brietling, 2 different price range? Breitling is priced much higher compared to Ball. Just go down to Ion, Taka, Wisma...many large watch boutiques concentrated there.

Personally would choose Ball over Brietling, more bang for the buck. Brietling prices i would rather whack Omega..

Morning everyone.

I have skinny wrist which measured at 6 inches flat. Do you think a Sinn U1 (44mm) would look awkward on my wrist?

I feel some people don't mind wearing bigger watch on their small wrist.

U really have to try it on. Weird or not is a very personal thing.
Never buy a watch you have never tried.

The part on no receipt is probably to protect themselves. Not so much on warranty but the discount may be more than what omega allows.

And really, dont buy a watch for perceived second hand value. Buy what you like and what you will wear. Or just go straight for the brand (like me, the brand *****).

Can adjust yourself although can be a hassle. No need to send back.

:s8:

A perpetual calendar is a watch that is so expensive that, every year on the anniversary of the purchase, you will perpetually curse yourself for wasting so much money on yet another utterly useless ``complication". ;)
