1. Never buy a watch from a company without aftersales support in sg

If you need spare parts later on or if you need to send it back, it is tedious.

2. Go to a 3rd party shop like jwwatch that does service for panerais

Bought it coz of the cheap price during black Friday. Probably gonna abandon it if it's spoilt later on.

Dont go to cobbler, their hole punching tools are not meant for watch straps.

Those watch shops will usually punch a small hole in the strap, and it is enuf oredi, the hole will auto expand to accomodate the metal pin

Ok thanks! Coz I went to a watch shop yesterday and they told me my strap is too thick and they can't punch through.

Just gonna go a few more shops to try my luck then.

Go jwwatch, they confirm can punch holes thru but have to travel to city and most likely will cost $5

how much does the cheapest stowa cost in the second hand, or even first hand pieces?

thinking of getting a pre-owned one if the price is too huge..i liked the stowa model posted earlier though.. hopefully its not too expensive..

seriously after reading through a few articles, i still can't find myself paying up and queuing up for a timepiece and wait for 3+ months..

Moreover, there is no logo printed there.. how would people know its stowa?

if u are concerned abt brand name, i can assure u that even if the stowa name is printed on the watch, the common ppl out there on the street will still not know what brand is that.

I guess it's one of the entry level lines of sinn that looks good and is relatively affordable.

The sg prices are horrendous compared to europe.

ETA 7750 in under 1K, u not going to find easily. movement alone cost ~US$450.
Swatch Group reported get those movement at a quarter of the cost.

A Hamilton H60416553 or H60416583 on the grey market still cost over $1.2K. of course not that clean. AD prices more like ~1.7k, stowa only ~2.4k not much more.

Wow....it has been some time since someone inquiried on this model.

Longines is now rather strict RP$1,830 at 15% discount only now across SG instead of usual 20%. The only way is to get from airport departure terminals or cheaper through online if u're comfortable.

It is excellent diver watch launched somewhere since Yr2007 and either colour is fine. Mine is black.

Yup, Sub is also common for being most recognised, most copied design, most associated with ROLEX, most retained value for resale, most highly sought-after, most easily targeted by robber/ thief ....

It is a great watch & highly regarded by watch community....

btw, i chk overseas.. the omega smp after tax ard 4300sgd. here is 5100sgd b4 disc. overseas can ask for disc?

if not i use my manhattan to sign got 5% cash rebate.. which is 200sgd.

This is almost similar pricing if you buy from airport departure terminal.
If possible, pls also consider OCBC promotion at Cortina 9% cash rebate with min $3K to qualify with interest-free installment....

Unless u opt for online purchase for cheaper alternative. Anyway Omega SMP is a good purchase. I often see website comparsion between smp vs sub.

Agree.... u do not need to buy Rolex and show ppl to know u're successful or rich.... buy something that u really like for yrself and not for ppl to think how u are....

Generally all those high-end or luxury brands are due to expensive marketing/ advertising/ sponsorship etc. that pushes up their pricing....

The logo has a price to pay.

Tissot Seastar 1000 should be priced under 1K here.
The Seastar Chrono 49mm is LE to 1000 pices, priced at US$2250

Seastar RP$1,300 with 15% discount. The layout especially hands are quite close to smp. Both belong to Swatch group and may consider for those under tight BUD...

But as for me, I will save up and focus on something that I will prefer & aim for.... no compromise and SMP is unbeatable.

Yup... I prefer to have personal feel and touch....
