EU brands its cheaper in Europe, but relative cheaper than SG esp at outlets.
watches if U can find Tag heuer outlet or Movado outlet (they carry Ebel) or Tourneau outlet u can find get things at 35-60% discount.

so the tag heuer outlet at those premium outlets will be cheaper than getting from sg with all the typical discounts??? i saw a tag heuer outlet in the premium outlets i am going to..so a bit interested lol

Zenith can get like 28-30% a few yrs back. Go grey and its more like 50-60%. Issue with EP is not many ppl can service it going back to zenith is safer.

I am sure JW will do RGM servicing.

Now standard discount for Zenith is 20%. But my agent @ THG is offering it @ 30% discount for the El Primero Chronomaster. Seriously contemplating.

Hi. I got a Tissot Visodate. It stated to wind, I have to turn the crown closewise, but when setting the time, it goes closewise when I turn the crown anti-closewise. To wind, do I follow like how I set the time by turning the crown anti-closewise? Thanks.

It's precisely the old guys who should go for unusual watches like this. Leave the ah pek watches to the young guys. Go for it!

Let's see if I can help ...

First of all, the Visodate is an automatic watch, ie it winds itself automatically from your wrist movements, so there is no real need to hand wind it (unless the power reserve has gone to zero and you want to get it going - even then, the watch should start running if you gently shake it a few times).

To wind it by hand, turn the crown clockwise, just like the manual says. If you're looking at the dial, it means turn the crown *away* from you. It should be a little harder to do, ie takes more force, than turning it the other direction, because you are putting energy into the main spring.

Winding a watch and setting the time are two separate functions so one doesn't really affect the other.

Won't regret a JLC, the quality is top notch, only thing is the servicing is v expensive.

The 2 watches I have are with time and date only but now looking at IWC topgun or MB skywalker to spice up a bit.

Well, the thin crown is part of the retro design. And I've not had a problem with getting hold of it, so ... *shrug*
