Previously at Hobbylink... selling at 3.2k, then after some discount can get at 2.8k cos my relative is regular... but i am slow, and it is sold pretty fast.

My relative told me it can fetch $4k+ for brand new, but i didn't listened and believe.

Hi, would appreciate some advise with regard to the watch above.

I had bought this watch for a few months. Some time back, I noticed that the Chronograph hand moves slightly to the left side of 12 o'clock when I tilted the watch (original position of the chronograph hand is at 12 o'clock position). This happened when the chronograph hand is inactive.

Is this consider a defect of loose chronograph hand? Should it stays solidly stationary despite of the tilt?

I had brought the watch down to the service centre.

When i was notified that the watch has been fixed and ready for collection, i could still see clearly that the chronograph hand moved. The staff did not acknowledge the defect. So, i tilted the watch to its right so that the hand was aligned back at 12 o'clock position, then tapped the left side of the watch onto my palm and showed it to the staff that the hand has moved and it was loose. The staff stated that the action of tapping caused the hand to be loosen.

Would like to know if tissot build and quality are so low that it is not able to take the impact of light tapping?

Why not get the Chronomat 44 instead? It uses the new Breitling in-house B01 column wheel chronograph movement. The Super Avenger uses the Breitling Caliber 13 which is based on a Valjoux 7750 cam & lever movement. Column wheel chronograph movement are smoother and are preferred choice. Longines (L688), Breitling (B01) and Tag (Caliber 1887) are all the newer column wheel chronograph movement compared to Valjoux 7750 which dates back to the 70s.

i used to wear submariner then i realised no deep feelings for it so i sold it off.
submariner is 40mm

i now wearing aqua terra chrono at 44mm
my wrist is 7inches

i just checked my chrono.

Everything is supposed to remain in position and not to be loose thereafter. Your watch is defective.

Send it in again. Swatch is fugged up one btw.

Which Omega Deville are you looking at? The Hour Vision is definitely not lower end!

I've come down to earth. You're right - that price range is too high for me. Looking at DeVille Prestige range - lower price but the B&M Cliftons look much nicer.

44mm watches should look good for your wrist size. Don't wear over-size watches where the lug ends over hang.

I couldn't agree with you more! The service centre does not address the problem of the watch but only to push the blame back to the consumer for intended mishandling.

I was appalled by the staff remarks when she claimed that the misaligned Chronograph hand was attributed by my action of tapping. Btw, the staff who i spoke to is the manager of the Singapore Swatch Group Service Centre at the wheelock. From her responses, it was clear to see she was insincere to render help and to admit the watch is indeed defective.

Would like to know if there is any way to get a verification from Tissot that their watch is not capable of taking the impact of tapping? Speaking to the staff from the service centre leads no where.
