I did. a couple of colleagues.

first was a subordinate who saw my maurice lacroix skeleton many years ago. it was a real conversation piece. talk and talk end up I brought a whole group of them to see watches at one of my usual ADs - a few of them bought. even after I left the previous company we keep in touch, and talked about what we're eyeing / bought.

then most recently was a female colleague. group of us having brunch at wild honey @ scotts; she asked about my daytona and asked if panerai is worth buying. told her I know nothing about panerai, but nonetheless brought the group to the boutique at ION, then to another of my usual AD ard the area. she bought one on the spot from the AD becos the service from the boutique was terrible. Bad move, because she came from a REALLY rich family and her dad, uncles, aunts are all watch collectors. She then told me once her aunt heard she bought a panerai, she gave my fren a black sub, brand new. now we talk about watches everytime we have lunch together.

very. no choice. YOLO lah. money keep so much also no use.

spend it on yourself, spend it on family, but most meaningful is spend it on charity - money for a monthly instalment for a car may feed a couple of needy families for a month, no joke.

best value for money, most bang for the buck

That's a nice Edifice! Edifice offers good value for money and very reliable. I got one that keeps going on and on and on. Barely uses any battery I reckon.

im looking at the breitling superocean 44. i searched briefly within this thread and apparently someone said it could be around SGD 3k?!?? i mean i've searched online and it looks more like 4k

anyone bought from a AD or breitling shop in sg? can please share the RRP and level of discount?

There strictly no discount.

If u r looking for nice and simple watches, shouldnt be looking at breitling
Their watches are heavy, thick, big cases and flashy designs in general.

so what do u recommend in terms of simple black cases design?

IMHO, i would use the money to get a tudor pelagos or a tag (can still save a bit from a simple tag diver).

if not looking particularly for a diver, maybe some of the omega speedmaster, seamaster offerings. got so many different versions of them.
