very. no choice. YOLO lah. money keep so much also no use.

spend it on yourself, spend it on family, but most meaningful is spend it on charity - money for a monthly instalment for a car may feed a couple of needy families for a month, no joke.

best value for money, most bang for the buck

i got no $ for car & watches lei. How. Can only come here see rich people show off & brag their stuff. Jin TL. Can have a few jin expensive watches like money is water like that.

I believe most people work hard for their dough - and some are luckier than the rest.

I was born in poverty and had to teach tuition and wash dishes during my school days to put myself thru school. Even until recently i had been working on a few fronts.

I was lucky, but luck comes to those who are prepared. If you are also working hard and not giving up, I wish the best for you and that your luck comes soon.

Which Santos are you looking for? There are a few models. Bronze Age should still be carrying one but it's the Santos Dumont. There's a shop near Kee Hing Hung that carries a few pieces of Santos. They got a couple of Santos Chronograph.

I think he's referring to watches not brought in by the authorised dealer. This means that the warranty is not by the AD. If you buy it overseas, you'll need to send back to where you got it from to repair (if it's under their warranty). If you repair it locally, you'll need to pay for the repairs.

If all we want from our watches is resale value, the JeanRichard Terrascope will not be a good choice as it does not use an in-house movement nor does the brand have a rich history like Patek, nor is it currently very well-known.

But if we want a solid well-finished sports watch with a unique shaped case and bezel that is different from your dime-a-dozen diver watches, I've yet to come across any Seiko that looks even remotely close to the Terrascope. Maybe I have not looked hard enough ... ?

Most brands out there little value or weak resale value, not even tag command that. Couple of Vintage tag don't say.
Some Rolex has good resale value and a handful of pp.
Jlc, iwc etc don't have good resale value. Want to buy for resale value go preown rolex.

Buy watch for value or resale value are nuts, if u ******* Rich ok. Avg joe u have better ways to invest your hard earn money

I guess not everybody sees resale value as no.1 priority in their choice. I personally don't care much about resale value if u ask me.

My stand is always: if you like it and you feel it looks good on you - go ahead.

Precisely. And the G shocks as well.

All those others I really bought for looks. The maurice lacroix skeleton, corum bubble skeleton and I actually have one swatch irony skeleton and a swatch open works quartz. That was my starting pt - wanted to collect skeletons.

Azimuth collection started with the roboto. Then roulette. Then BIT. And the national day Ltd Ed. Really liked how they were conversation pieces. Honestly azimuth's arent THAT expensive. A BIT is just over 2k. And it's REALLY a good conversation piece - always use it to challenge ppl how to read the time.

Even for the rolex, omega we have..... Really for looks. Never bought a watch with the intention to sell them since I'm not a trader. Honestly I also dunno how many ppl actually buy watches for investments - unless its an antique piece.

Hence always my two cents to people wanting to buy their first watch - just go for what u like and what looks good on you. It makes you a lot happier

Having had a second look at the breitling, the font looks a bit kiddy. Although I still like the overall simplicity and colour

Omega seamaster... most versatile watch IMO, might not be the most eye catching watch, but you can wear it for any occasion.
