Thanks! I think the lume is more than decent. Pity about the poor PR though since I do not wear it everyday and do not use winders. But for the price I paid ... no complain!
This will receive the usual TLC from me. So won't be a 'field' watch. I'll wear it at least once a week to the office - leather strap will look better.
I was initially eyeing the beige version too! Until my family 'fashion police' said it looks feminine and yes, the beige will soon turn grey/black.
Now I'm looking for a <$100 quartz field watch that will survive jungle training, 100m WR and dips in 42C hot springs! Any recommendations? Not interested in all digital, but analog-digital is OK. NO G-shocks too!

question to watch owners who travel with more than one watch: how do your watches travel and get secured while you're away from them at meetings or having fun, especially your more expensive pieces? afterall, you can only wear one watch at a time unless you want to look silly.

Just have to have faith using the hotel safe or locking in your luggage if u really need to bring along an expensive watch with you.

Travelling overseas is a good example of when a versatile watch that can dress up/down and endure some hits comes in useful.

but srsly folks, it's anatomically impossible to strap a wristwatch over the ankle unless:

1. your ankle is srsly thin, and/or
2. the strap is extra super long or has a diving extension, in either case, would end up looking silly if it's on your wrist.

The GW-A1100 should be cheaper than G-Factory prices, but the MTG S1030 should be more or less about the same. Bencoolen 3D had the green GW-A1100 but it was OOS when I was there on Saturday.

Finally had a strap (greyish blue baby hornback) made for my 7F so i can wear it more often. The original full white was too feminine for my liking.

having luxury watches means you must have proper & adequate insurance. unless one is a skinflint and also loves the thrill of living dangerously (hey don't laugh. luxury car owners are known to risk summon tickets just to save on parking - go figure).

insurance is certainly more secure than any safe.

no safe is 100% burglar proof. they just make them heavy enough and bolt it to the floor and strong enough to either deter burglars from carting it off or slow them down long enough while they try to crack it open to get caught before they make a clean getaway.

i bet $15 million watch collection guy has several of them or even a custom high tech, high deterrent, high security safe somewhere in the basement of his sprawling gcb/villa/estate.

get an homage sub. 9/10th of the look for 1/10th of the price (but then why buy that rollie in the first place & not bring it along for a holiday?).

or 2 budget/mid tier seikos: a dress one on leather strap and a sports/diver on steel bracelet/rubber strap/nato. problem solved?

but you want your babies to enjoy that overseas trip with you as well, no?
