What brand when wear go out people will say "waaa! Expensive watch" and is automatic and 1k budget.. :p

The waaa is referring to normal people.. Not people who are wearing Rolex, omega, Patek etc.. ;)

Tissot. Seiko Premier. Citizen Eco-Drive. Orient Bambino. Arbutus NY. If lucky enough, throw in basic Raymond Weill for good measures.

Dress Watch :s13: Prefer those elegance looking. I'm looking in Frederique Constant now, they got some very nice looking automatic watch with in house movement, around SGD 1.5k after discount :s12:

ecodrive is not automatic. i think..

well... if we see automatic as mechanical, no battery... then yeah... eco-drive doesn't classify as automatic

but since its doesn't really need to "wind", doesn't need to replace battery, generate the energy through light / hand movements so... to me.. its automatic :s13:

I also want !!

Anyone knows where is the service centre for tudor, and breitling, and whether how much do they charge for a typical authenticity verification. Would like to check if the normal verification also includes a check in the movement, and will they advise the watch piece requires minimal servicing, or an overhaul.

Thanks

Tudor -> Rolex Service Center... The one beside Paragon
Breitling -> Wisma Atria

Time has come for me to make a decision on my daily beater diver with rubber. Been looking around for more than a month. Wife is gonna kill me if I still wait and wait. :s13: Your opinion?

1) Hydrocarbon Ceramic XV [middle] (Low to mid $3K)/ Airborne
(High $3K)

the default choice for classic/heritage looking watches comfortably under $1k is the tissot heritage visodate.

or you can consider the hamilton intramatic 38mm. slightly more than $1k.
