It will never replace a mechanical watch as mechanical watches are fine pieces of art and science... Their movements, without any electronic parts is already a marvel. With complications, they are hard to beat even with the most advanced electronic gadgets. They are for all to appreciate the finer things in life.

I love to try out gadgets... that's why...

Haha but then the pelagos pictures in this thread made me itch.. so I decided to get that in the future instead~ I know some of the people will say to just get both next time but then, I don't really fancy having two watches of similar styles etc; two divers. Its just me :o

Moi like orient star more than seiko~ in terms of design wise. Seiko's design for their mid range to the upper range mostly look the same =:p Btw the best place to look at orient stars would be Big Time?

I prefer OS too. Big Time has the most complete range on display/offer. But their dealers are, shall we say, more open to price negotiations? Then there are the greys but their offerings are pretty limited. With your budget, you can buy more than two!

Haha even tho I have this budget but then don't really need to spend it all lah! :s13: As long as it is of good quality and looks nice can already. Oh and abt seiko's design being too plain.. I think I'll have to take that back. The sarb065.. :s12::s12:

I was under the impression your budget was around 2.5k but if it's now 5k by all means get the pelagos. It's a value for money piece too.
