Any good grey to recom? Can PM if not convenient in the open, if u care to share.

Spoke to watch owners/sellers before, AP, PP, VC are delicate stuff even for their so-called sports models, so they may not make good beaters, unless you are an ultra elite who don't own anything "below" these brands. Personal experience with the AP RO vs rolex sports models, the rolex definitely feel more robust with the oyster casing. Even datejusts are very robust.

true. rolex can take beatings.

well.....I office job and takes the train everyday. shouldnt be a problem?

Try the AP forged carbons.

Ceramic based watches are great as well.

My PAM is currently serving the daily beater role. Looks as new as the first day I got it....

I was told ceramic/ pvd type of watches are brittle on high impact but most of us not likely to get into such a situation while wearing an expensive watch. AP forged carbon is $$ stuff.

So far so good for both of these watches. I don't go around swinging and banging them and just take care of them when wearing them in daily situations.

The older forged carbon cases had issues (i.e AP TA), but AP has subsequently improved on the manufacturing process and one sees a lot lesser problems with watches crafted in the later batches.

This along with the new ceramic bezels introduced has really help improved the durability as well.

The exceptional cases of ceramic cracking though are really in extreme cases where the entire watch is dropped...

The horror.

Nothing to be envious of lah.....wasted a lot of money on watches which i ended up selling at a loss. Should have just gone and get one solid good one.

I am also thinking on same lines, but as watch fanatics our hands always itchy one...
