share with you my experience with 7fri, when I first got to know about the watch I thought it looked pretty cool and all.

Tempted, even went to try etc. What stopped me was the size, simply look too big for my wrist. But I am glad that I didn't buy - the excitement for this watch in me died down very fast and now I don't even miss it or regret not buying it.

it might or might not be a hype. its design is it's biggest asset and biggest enemy in my opinion- people either love it or hate it.

But end of the day, most important is if it will please your wife. If it's something she really want badly, she might be disappointed if you give her another watch- even if it's good looking and all.

no la...my wife didnt say she wanted this particular sevenfriday watch.....just giving you all a gauge of what kind she likes.......she dont like those typical watch...she likes those like ppl never hear before one (but of coz still well known in the community lah..) ....

this sevenfriday one is i show her, she say quite nice...and thats about it....

my friend recommended me this, i think it kinda suits what she wants.. svt-ax87 - ax110101-01m watch :: Aero : TSOVET : We

only thing is i scared cant find in singapore and i cant ship it fast enough before her bday...

Here's my latest acquisition! An Orient Star GMT. I was eyeing the beautiful UN GMT but at 1/10 the UN price, this one looks just as good :D ..... thanks to you guys and the hype here about Orients. Its a handwound, the bottom crown adjusts the internal 24hr bezel and the top crown winds and adjusts everything else.

I can't do multi quotes as I'm in the gym now. But I've read through the comments by the bros around here.

I'm partial to RG, I'll be first to admit. But the missus and the SA says that that zeitwerk's design is enhanced by the black and white combination, making it extremely modern. It is after all a digital mechanical watch.

I've researched and found that the WG zeitwerk commands a much higher value than that of the RG in the secondary market.

Another point is I've got two watches in RG... So so i need another one?

Can't seem to make a decision.

Pelagos has the best marketing/product combi that explains the majority of recommendations u have received thus far. To me its also an implicit n indirect nod of approval to rolex, tudor's parent company

To me, it shows that we should just aim for e Rolex and forget about e pelagos. IMO :o

I'd think so too. A modern looking watch feels out of place in RG.

I love RG watch, but for some reason, Zeithwerk don't speak to me in RG :o..

Thanks for the inputs. Wow. Overwhelming love for the pelagos. I haven't had a chance to molest yet though.

Anyone last sighted in any of the ADs? Will 5 notes be enough for it? :s13:

I had a chance to buy a gray in HK for about 4.5k, but decided I want the full purchase experience for my maiden piece. :o

Compared to a BB? :D

Just some reasons
- love the Matt understated look
- BB red too eye catching.
- Blue not sure when's the birth date
- rubber straps and extensions that I can switch around
- bracelet clasp design
- tudor/rolex brand for quality.
- not a big movement fan. Eta is fine. Superficial me.

Some concerns
- hope it's not too light
- not too versatile for dressy styles (then again this is supposed to be daily beater)

The shaffaer (spelling) pen was given to me by an intern. Young lady. Very sweet cos she noticed I never carry a pen with me and always ask around for one. I never used it for fear of losing it hahaha......

I used to buy mont blancs until i kept losing them. Once in uni, once during a trip and once I didnt even know when. Enough is enough and I stopped buying them.
