perhaps for a balanced view we should also list out the areas of improvement about the bambino.

1) rotor can be loud for some people
2) the colour of the strap - I don't like the black strap on the white+RG/YG. wouldn't brown be nicer?
3) worry about the dome crystal getting knocks - is it sturdy enough?

Almost everything can be overlooked by virtue of the price tag.

2. I think it's black/brown.. Can see some shades of brown in it. Brown strap easily replaceable.
3. It isn't sapphire so can definitely expect scratches if you are not careful.

just got mine (my wife's actually) from Creation Watches.

You know that shirt, pose and everything about the shot matches that Orient perfectly. Reminds me of some 1970s Shanghai movie set look....don't know how else to describe. Very nostalgic...which the Orient has that look, especially with the spear-shaped indices. Very classy.

In fact, I think the old fashion look of the Orient logo looks good on the Bambino. The Orient Star logo is too modern for the watch...my thoughts...

Agreed. I can live with the orient logo on the bambino cos of its vintage look-in fact goes pretty well. Not so on other models hahaa.

VW, is ur fiance aware of your active participation here and the story of his rolex?

He doesn't know! He only know I did some homework and got him a watch. He probably thinks my recent enthusiasm in watches is because of my research for his watch (which is true, the process sparked it)

I want to keep everything a surprise but I hav no idea how to close my old thread. Once closed no one else can see its content right? can someone tell me how to close a thread pls????

Thank you! I cant spill the beans till the wedding in oct!

yes... the rotor is the loudest among my automatic watches :s13:... but tbh it didn't really pose much of a problem :D

if the bambino dome breaks (is it even possible coz i dun think it's a crystal?), just get another bambino! Prob solved :s13:

I was thinking.......
Why dont you get something for them instead?

Raising a child for 21 years is no joke. Think of the surprise and joy on their faces when it turns out you got them a gift too.

Perhaps a visodate for your dad and......something else for your mum. Or book a holiday with them? HK or BKK and take many pics together? Memories are priceless! I'm also holding my watch purchases to bring the whole gang for holidays - oh it's so worth it!

子欲养而亲不待
Don't wait till it's too late :)

Lol nah.. if I get a visodate for my dad he will kill me lol. He has one rolex which he hardly wears, and my mom has been nagging him about it :p I wish I could do that but then $$$$$ problems hais :(
