Omg.. Awhile ago we debated whether smart watch will takeover traditional mechanical watch..? This is the end result which I actually find it super cool..!

Will wait for it is out and reviewed before buying.. Hehe..

I was thinking about a smart watch - mechanical watch hybrid before, how it would work etc. I doubted that the elastic energy in the mainspring would be enough to power a smart watch. When I saw this post the first thing I looked for was whether this was achieved. As it turned out the smart watch component is powered by a separate battery. So it's just a basic mechanical integrated with a smart watch on a single strap. Nothing ground braking. Would it be something the Swiss watch giants would adopt? I don't know.....maybe a joint venture between Patek and Samsung :s13:....which is outrageous at least from Patek's point of view.

After wearing for a day, if I take it off before I sleep, it should last the whole of the next day even if I don't touch it.

Maybe your wrist activity is quite low and not enough to wind up the movement most of the time?

I have an OCD habit of purposely shaking my wrist hard often to ensure my watches are properly wound.

If the dial is for the SNZH FFF mod, the 3 o'clock dial will fit straightaway without any additional work. If you have gotten the 4 o'clock one, don't worry, it will still fit but the dial feet will have to be broken and adjusted.

Some confusion could have arisen because the some FFF dial's date cut-out window is at 3, and some at 4. However, in Dagaz and Yobokies stores, this 3 or 4 is actually referring to the crown position of the watch.

For the SNZH5x series, the crown is at 3, while the SKX00x series is at 4.

Hi

Just to check whether Mr Goh has done dial "conversion" from 4 o'clock crown position to fit 3 o'clock for anyone before?

If have will be good as there are much more nicer 4 o'clock crown dials from Dagaz and Yobokies.

Hahahaha yatto... be faster next time.

billovee...for me. Its more of to be wary of my MD and marketing director.

Although both always look like quite easy going people.but when it comes to watches, still better to be wary.

I still nees to depend on them for my pay, bonuses etc lolx.

So looking at their watches, I will narrow down to sub and reverso

great choice. be more subtle and u be very safe

Glycine to go

In anticipation of some new pieces coming in, and my watch box is already full...
I decided to trim my collection and let go of my Glycine due to very little wrist time.
I don't flip my watches, but I was thinking it could be used for something meaningful.

Condition**You have to make a donation ($100 min?) to a dog shelter of my choice.

Also to set your expectations:
glycine incursore 200m manual wind
Only watch, no box or papers,
Purchased in 2002 or 2003 (IIRC price then was about $1k)
Watch Condition ~ 6 or 7, scratches mostly on the bezel area.. Glass condition is good, I can't see any scratches with naked eye....See pics below
Leather strap only with 1 fixed keeper, the other keeper broke :o, leather and buckle is glycine original, but leather condition not good
You prob have to spend a little to polish it, and change to a kickass strap, and you got a decent aviator timepiece.
I will not entertain meet up to view the watch, you make the donation, I will post it with registered mail FOC or you can self collect from me.

Pics of my glycine:

If interested pls PM me, I will remove this after a few days.
Lastly, any mod who thinks this is not allowed, let me know and I'll remove this post. I don't want to get this thread locked.

Nothing feels as relaxed, fuss free and light then a G-shock on NATO. Headed to coffee shop for lunch. :)
