It's manual wind right? I've always wondered how many winds to fully wind my 3 days. Can count next time and post here, then I will pro rate? By the way, let's count 1 wind as 1 full movement of the thumb from bottom to top.![]()
I thought we just wind till there is tension then we stop? Still need to count ah?
Anyone ordered from panatime before? Was it good?
Yes i do see some items on sale as well and i ordered one strap along with other accessoriesNow got summer sale iirc
Pictures not very clear.
Bought two straps. Discrepency in color from pic but thats what happens when u buy online.
Emailed them a week ago to ask about thickness of some straps that I was keen and until now no reply. So not ordering anymore.
Best is still to see the actual straps.
Mine was a good experience. I emailed and responses were very fast, I asked to change the buckle to a titanium one as it wasn't in the standard choices and they did it FOC. Also I asked for tubes and they added them FOC. I know local shops like gnomon watches do not have tubes.
Correct for manual wind , but I read for automatic wind like mine there is no tension, something in the barrel just slips so I will not know of it's fully wound. So use a manual wind like yours to compare.

Hi guys, i got a budget for a watch not more than 10k. what sort of watch do you recommend?
This is gonna be my first luxury watch (hopefully not the last) and i wanted to buy something that i can use for quite some time.
Thinking of a rolex sub. Would that be a good start?
Got one friend suggested Omega Seamaster + Sinn
Not sure leh but i thought its not always same number of winding each time right? It depends on how fast the watch wind down??
I let the sexperts here advise ma![]()
i've never really thought about this but on the 8 days movement is there an "optimal" charge level to ensure that the watch at its least stressed? is there a pattern to follow e.g. letting the watch totally unwind before recharging...I'm sure there's nothing to be worried about but still it would be interesting for the nerd in me to know.
How to gpgt this Hoot ?

the watch belong to Dan bilzerianIf you can remember the post in this thread last time, RM on wrist covering two coconuts.
Trophy pic yeah? HAHA

Watches are designed to be accurate at fully wound state. If you run your watches at low power levels (main spring not wound up) the escapement doesn't deliver enough power to the balance and the hairspring returns it earlier resulting in lower amplitudes of swing and your watch will start running fast. So optimal charge is fully wound state. Hope that's a nerd enough answer, had to refresh some watch terminology by googling.
