i think my budget would be up to 1k. but i wouldn't mind stretching a little. seems like bell & ross isnt really favoured upon when i was reading up on it.

i'm still quite new and not really good with watches. i don't mind a grey set, 2nd hand is ok but i'm worried about not getting authentic parts inside etc.

as it is more of a daily beater, i think i would prefer automatic rather than mechanical? not too big of a preference though. would prefer it to have the date function too. style wise, i actually thought of splashing on a 2nd hand explorer/gmt master II but decided against it. something along those lines or like the bell & ross 123 would be nice.

was looking at brands like steinhart, sinn, baume & mercier... any other brands/models would you recommend?

Owner of a BR123 officer here...agree for its price range, u can get something better...

When I bought it, it was very much the appeal that I was focused on, not much of value for money...

But to each his own, I suppose...

guys, is there any recommended watch polisher?

I have a Russian Aviator Sikorsky for a while and would like to polish it. The case is steel brushed finish, and the bezel is chrome.

Red Army Watch does not have any polishing service.

Also, can someone suggest a strap for the watch?

leather tend to smell after a while. wanted a metal bracelet, but doesn't seem to suit the watch.

I don't know of a polisher but as for the straps, I would suggest you get black rubber straps. I use it on my Glycine lagunare chronometer 3000.

sinn has a similar looking model?

quoted picture is produced by sinn. they used to produce sinn 157 which is that pattern with lemania 5100. now left sinn 144 with valjoux 7750. for sinn 144 not exactly similar but close enough. its a cheaper alternative to a new speedmaster mark 2.

great looking watch - i just don't quite like the way a 7750 watch sits pretty high on the wrist though.
