I have found a piece of seiko which I bought some years back. It looks like a real seiko but on closeup and opening the behind of the case. I found I was conned or it was my mistake. I was in a hurry and that piece was on the flea market so I just grab it without close inspection.

Does that 1920s pocket watch worth a lot? At least the silver case should eh.

I am glad that my contribution will help the locals understand vintage pieces. I do not eat durian because I cannot stand the smell since I was a kid.

As for the value for that 1920s pocket watch with the silver case stand. The price I have seen similar one in Auction house in Europe will be around $450-$550. I like Vintage pieces because they are unique and rare compare to the mass production ones.

I can get turned on even by the cheap 1980s Pulsar Quartz because it is hard to find another same piece.

It is all about collecting and sharing your hobby knowledge with others. I have boxes of vintage rolexes but what is the point, no point in showing off.

I prefer to share the used to be common watches of the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and even 2000...

hmmmmm Indonesia and Phillipines where I got burnt and I only buy from my regular suppliers whenever I am over there on assignment. My regular suppliers kept those vintage watches for me basically I paid a premium for them to hold onto them until I return. You got to be careful. On the outside they looked genuine but on the inside the movement are doctored. Singapore history is too short and used to be a fishing village. Remember, Singapore turned independent in 1965. Only the rich and those who can afford to buy a decent mechanical watch. I bought boxes and boxes of seiko watches over the years when I was on assignment overseas. The varieties of seiko watches are so awesome. When I got the time, I will bring them out to show you all.

hahaha it will be a bit difficult since you will need to wind the clock. Unless you constantly shake the clock or you wear the clock.

Sorry, no selling at the moment, maybe when I am one and half foot into the grave. I will sell them. My collection starts pretty much from 1900s to 1970s. The big chucky ones. I have 80s and 90s but not many around. I have not written much in my sgvintagethingy blogspot but I will update soon when I get the time.

seems like its quite hot selling at the moment. When i was waiting for the links to be adjusted, another customer came in looking for Pelagos too, unfortunately for him mine was the last piece!
