what have i got myself into....
Nice safari. I tried this, diver and panda. They were too small to my liking, not enough wrist presence for me. On the other hand i have also tried the 44mm chronographic steel ceramic and they fit me very well. Pricing wise is around 10k more over the 42mm....still deciding...

Actually I did take a look at the 42 and 44 but can't really see much of a size difference.

But the 47mm really stand up among the other 2.

lol why not? everything can be replicated.
it could be just plated stainless steel instead of gold.
just have to look gold, that's all it matters right? LOL

Plated gold they used and it's easy to check.

Whereas SS, it's easily replicate and hard to check.

Interesting. How do you normally get the contacts/offers to check out these "underground" brands?

I think in the future if you semi-retire, can look towards becoming the SG version of ABTW.

haha.....no way man. although I did write car reviews part-time for car magazines back in uni almost 20yrs ago hahaha......

but yeah I'm starting to semi-retire and hope to retire by the time i turn 40 in a few yrs' time. very stressful job; not good for the heart. and wanna spend more time with my folks and my kids. I'm actually on no-pay leave this month after a major project last month. still hard lah....end up going back to office every now and then. luckily for the wonderful group of frens I made on this thread life has been more fun since.

The green and dark blue IS SHO NICE!!!!

ask Elshan for hotdog price! LOL
(or ask your sis to ask ;) )

Yato thanks for sharing on the Zelos event. Was scrolling down your post interested in the bronze diver but the design doesn't cut it for me. Mainly due to the bezel neither round nor angular. With the Bronzo as the benchmark it's tough being the competition I guess. Never heard of the brand before this....

hey most welcome. I enjoyed the party LOADS. diff folks diff strokes lah. Elshan lurks in this forum so maybe u can ask him to make a custom watch for you?

Nice safari. Saw one brand new pc at 23k. Super good tempting price but I find Chronograph function useless to me. Else is a super chio watch... Lol

I know what you mean. i like my watches without complications, just as you pointed out. I'd rather get a G Shock if i needed those functions. It's really more for the aesthetics only. I asked the AD if she had 1 without the chrono, she smile and showed me all the AP models. Felt so noob, since it was the first time i walked into an AP boutique.

I also tried another diver, black dial with no complications. Doesn't "speak" to me at all. The AP ROO are not very big, but the angular design and "tall'ness" gives it a lot of watch presence for a 5.5 - 6.5" wrist. If its too small for you, i presume you have muscular wrist. Maybe at 47mm watch will rock your boat more :)

With the kinda pricing, I'll wait till a significant phase of my life before sinking the dough. At least there is sentimental value behind the purchase.

After reading your sharings on the thread I begin to get a better picture of the mind of an entrepreneur, business savvy person and so on..such as yourself. Apparently you have more than one stream of income making it sufficient to for you to retire at 40, assuming enough to continue your high life (clothes, watches, travelling, cars and so on...). And your ability to hook up and connect with people is apparent which is what happened with your AD etc. :)

Agree with you about the purpose of this forum. It serves as a good place to help me escape from life's many frustrations, and also helps me to keep going on in life by dreaming a little.
