Hehe, watch porn also not gd. Make me gian. N since u like seiko, any thoughts of getting this: http://www.chrono24.sg/seiko/sun043p1-prospex-kinetic-gmt-48mm-20atm--id3593200.htm

Might b my next purchase if all goes well.

Bro, for hardcore watch nerds:

1. There can never be enough watches even though there's already not enough storage space & wrist time.

2. There can never be enough watch porn.

Hard Truth. :D

I've to be honest here: white watches don't age well. Besides being high maintenance and dirty easily, the different materials means the shades of white will deteriorate to shades of off-white, cream or even grey.

Caveat emptor, but once you're ok w/ all the potential pitfalls, just go for it - just like women: few minutes pleasure here and there, but a lifetime of suffering! :s13:

Was yours preowned and what's the damage? How did you score that beauty?

But CSJ's only has a single crown & no button for the illumination. Any details about his particular watch? Large arrowhead hour hand, red seconds hand, 6-9-12 ... yum yum! :lick:

Retro Casio Marlin divers are the new hotness! :s12:

CSJ WIS ... ka kee lang, ah! :D

458 Italia... Already ordered and configure the 488gtb..

May not trade in.. Might keep the 458..last naturally aspirated engine

Spoken LIKE.A.BOSS!

:s12:

True, the 458 is a real sweet beauty.

Not waiting for the 488 spider version?

Gosh, at the rate you're going, you're definitely on the invite list for their next "by-invitation-only" top-of-the-range LaFerrari successor!

Make sure you GPGT ok? :D

Fans of CSJ have noticed him wearing a beefy, manly, serious looking Diver on rubber strap during his election campaign.

The photo revealed it to be a Casio Marlin Quartz Diver w/ an attractive 6-9-12 dial.

My feeble attempts at google failed miserably. My source said it's a rather old model and maybe not available anymore.

Can anyone please help identify the model? Thanks, folks! :)

ps. VOTE WISELY TOMORROW! VOTE FOR POSITIVE CHANGE! Choose FREEDOM over fear! Choose COURAGE over complacency! :s12:

Maybe CSJ lurks in this forum

I disagree actually... like my Father (almost same age as shorty7's FIL), he knows swiss watch brands like Rolex, Omega, Longines, Tag Heuer, Patek, JLC etc.
And he also know that they make quartz and automatic watches.

my Father also knows Seiko and Citizen... ask him whether would he "throw" 5 or 10k on a Seiko watch? He will first throw me outta window... then "throw" the money on Omega or Rolex.
the reason: GS was first created in 1960s and it was only sold in Japan & a selected asian countries... Seiko never really market GS outside of Japan & golbally until around 2010.

to him, he prefers quartz movement, because if he don't want to wear the watch for a few days, he don't need to bother about winding the watch or changing the date at all... he can just wear and go...

battery dead? Just bring the watch to a watch shop he trust or back to the same AD to change the battery...

and shorty07, imo when you bring your FIL to the AD watch boutiques, be professional and have slightly more knowledge about the watches, so that you are able to give your FIL adequate advice on choosing a watch but still, leaving the final choice to him

Heheh... must learn to "poison" your dad with Blancpain's Fifty Fathoms... twin barrels, 120 hrs power reserve... :D

Some advise needed.

I bought a pam but they didn't give me the brown box is it required? I see forums always say triple box.

And any third party straps to recommend?

Unless used you not finding chrono that cheap. Chrono movement cost about 2x the price of 3 hand, it's more development than what you think

Uhr on 7750 is under sgd$1k
https://www.uhr.info/en/Chronographs-from-UHR
Grey u can find under 1k
http://www.ashford.com/us/watches/h...rono-auto/H71466583.pid?nid=cpg_cat6032&so=13

This thread moves fast...

Thanks for the info.
7750 seems to be quite a popular movement for some generic watch case makers.

Yes, it appears that there is more than meets the eye for the seemingly simple chrono complication.

I must say, after switching to analog watch for a while, a GMT might be more practical as Air Asia and Jetstar has allowed many of us to visit nearby countries more often. Adjusting time zone for analog watch is more troublesome compared to digital ones.
