I guess you're probably the only JLC owner in this thread? :s13:
Haha would like to see more JLC watches here! The reverso is very gentlemanly and refined watch and also for those who want a low profile IMO. :)

I have to say I'm not gentlemanly and refined :vijayadmin:

That's because they OVER-PAY themselves AT OUR EXPENSE!

How do we know?

Ask yourselves how much George Yeo or Yeo Cheow Tong is paid now in the private sector! :s8:

U said ask youself, now you qns IRS.. everything U say why don't ask yourself have you have his return or not? :D

when I ask myself I dont know.. I was curious and went google :s13:

GPGT IRAS return would confirm it.

Kerry Logistics is listed, got annual report huanz. George Yeo salary etc very easy to find.

Wah watch thread, but suddenly got ex-minister pay talk?

Speaking of which, there was a picture of GY in the paper recently, he appeared to be sporting a steel daytona.

Recently election coverage, also saw Lim Swee Say wear a Genta-designed watch. Closer inspection on TV saw it was a Royal Oak, but interestingly, wanted to confirm it in picture on paper, never saw it then.

Just tried on my colleague's black bay, very tempting sia

Very nice. Did you ask your colleague about the patina?

If it is the "factory engineered" type of patina, I find that most people are in two minds about it. Some like the aged look, while some would just write it off as being artificial.

Just some info for people missing their Seiko shroud screws or want to mod:

I recently bought a Seiko SRP641 shrouded monster and will like to give it a more "stealthy" look by replacing the gold hex screws with black ones. From what I can gather online, the hex screws for all shrouds, be it emperor, or baby tuna are all the same. I checked with Thiong Sia, the SG Seiko customer service center and distributor, and they are selling the stainless steel hex screw for $5.35/piece, and black hex screw at $8/piece.

When I have time, I will head down to pick up 3 pieces and will post a photo of my modded shrouded monster :D:D

That's true. I think yeoman has a blog post where he describe this problem that happened to him too.

The only thing I can do to avoid this is to mess with the screws as little as possible, and if need be, replace them as early as possible.

Good news to all Seiko Sumo fans:

Massdrop currently has the black and blue dials Sumo on sale now for US$355 + US$13.40 shipping each if there are a total of 6 or more buyers. From a quick search, this is the cheapest price I can find online.

Damn tempting to me but I rather get the Seiko FFF for now.

Yes perfect, you own(ed) an Odyssey too? Their blue dial is mersmerizing. Neat trick.
Yup, I had one for almost 10 years, before 3 out of 4 of my kids left home. Now, once a year, when they're back in Singapore, I wish I still had it! Going out in 2 smaller cars is quite a hassle.

It's a reliable and practical car for sure...
