Hahah actually I am not very sure what's his name. But he's friendly and earnest, and did give me a bigger discount than the lady, because I asked him for the price of my Steinhart Nav B-Uhr 47 Automatic B-Type, but did not purchase it on that day.

Went back the very next day instead when I finally decided to get it, was around lunchtime so the guy wasn't around, only the lady. So she quoted me a slightly higher amount, and I told her the guy yesterday quoted me lower, and she said, "Is it that plump guy?" but she was ok with the lower amount.

Very friendly, knowledgeable and most important, she will give very practical advice on watches.

She is actually pretty approachable in an auntie sort of way, and I mean that in a good way haha!

There is only 1 lady there right ...

He quoted the lowest previously for GMT master. He actually sells to overseas markets more, in fact he started selling to overseas markets first. Only when in Sg more people begin to trust purchasing online instead of from physical shops then he began to sell to local market.

I guess it's easier and bigger market for him to sell overseas then to cater to local customers who has many other grey dealers to choose from. Also I belive local customers tend to be more fussy and has lower outcome of sales as compared to overseas customers.

Yeah, probably... when I got my 312 BNIB from my grey dealer 2 years ago, YKC quoted a BNIB GMT2c at the same price... I really really had a tough choice to make!!!

But I don't regret getting the 312... cuz as random as it might be, the sequential number of the case happen to have the birth year and birth date (in proper sequence) of my fiancée.

Can afford to get married (w/ its huge associated expenditure, new home, renovation + presumably car loan) + can still think of snagging a rollie = elite!

hai... bro, life is tough leh... but i have to admit that holding a wedding can be quite expensive these days.

my mindset is that if i don't buy it now (or before more commitment comes e.g. renovation, car, kids etc.)... i will not buy it anytime soon already, cuz all the "spare cash" i have will be saved/invested for a better future (for the family as a whole).

so i'd rather get it over and done with - i.e. hoot the Rolex and be at peace with myself for a long long while... and not keep thinking about it and yet CAN'T BUY cuz of other commitments...

me not as elite as many of the dai gors here... but i do aspire to be like them; remain grounded and humble while rich, and not lose myself in the pursuit of the finer things in life.

Are Mont Blanc well known for their watches? For wallets and fountain pens, yes, can get Mont Blanc, but not sure if you're just paying for the brand when you buy their watches.

Or the Schaumburg but not sure you can find AD here but SW11 is based on soprod A10 with a inhouse module.
