For IWC, you pay for the brand and in way, exclusivity and "hand-made" factor, since their production numbers are way smaller compared to brands like Rolex, Omega, whose production lines are basically fully automated, aka mass production.

Watches appeal differently to different people, that's all.

$8500 for a IWC chronograph with a ETA/Valjoux 7750 is not exactly exclusive. :D

Got check whether it's sgd or usd?

Anyway, no point feeling sad lah. It's a good diver watch whereby the build is so good that it puts submariner and many other luxury diver watches to shame

i like seiko but no.

In my opinion.

Movement innovation wise pretty much average. (Everyone works off the basic ETA/Valjoux design anyway). However, their technical excellence comes from been able build almost everything in-house even though they are such a small company which is no small feat.

IIRC, they even now produce their own hair-spring! Which is a serious serious technical feat. Most people (inlc IWC) buy from Nivarox. Mostly it is the industrial giants like Seiko/Rolex who are able to have the technical R&D to do this in-house. Nomos partnered with a University to do this.

Finish wise is beautiful. They have a clear direction, with clear goals and a very defined aesthetic (Bauhaus).

All at a price that is remarkably low (relative to comparable offerings elsewhere).

You will find it hard to find someone (knowing watches) who does not have a good thing to say about Nomos. Even Dufour praises them :s13:

P.S The Club, Metro, Minimatik on a Nato is pretty sporty imo

Nomos very hard to get better discount... Maybe should go see the real watch.

如果不是专注在转手价的话,把钱花在工艺上吧!
像浪琴就有两款值得买来收,买来用,买来玩。

1,单钮计时机芯。

2,Retrograde Moonphase

这两样机芯是你在市场上极少看见的,由于不是高量制造,别的品牌完全是没机会用的。

Two years ago I got study the retrograde, complicated and nice... But not for daily lol

If I told u $5xxx for the IWC chronograph with a ETA7750, is this worth it? Haha

No. :s13:
Considering that you can get a Tudor Pelagos with an in-house movement with a 70hrs power reserve, silicon hair-spring, certified chronometer, variable inertia oscillator.

Though it's not a chronograph. I still think it's more worth getting it over the IWC chronograph with ET7750. IWC is just over-priced and over-sized (who wears a 46mm dress watch?) for most of their watches:D

我宁愿等。。。等到ASHFORD哪时再搞促销,添多几百,买入一只El Primario 400计时表。总好过过度推销,采用平价机件的品牌。

absolutely no idea where the movement is from... no way I can just send it to any watch shop for maintenance?

theres this guy that sells sea gull watches in a headphone shop in adelphi. try him, he may be able to pinpoint the source since there are not many around from China, especially budget tourbillions.

be warned he is not known for service.
