New rubber strap for my Seiko Shrouded Monster just came in! It's a Bonetto Cinturini 324 Black Rubber Carbon Fiber Print Dive Watch Band, which I paid US$31 with shipping from eBay. I first saw this strap on the CW C7 Rapide. They are also selling it for US$90! Will take a photo of it on my Seiko tonight after I'm home.

Rolex giving discount? It's as good as asking LV to have sale. But you can try your luck when you're at the boutique.
not through emails.

Rolex do not like their AD to give discounts on rolex watches. Can don't give, that's the best.

JLC you will have better luck in fact. Same thing, try it only when you're in the boutique.
JLC squadra home time or master home time?
Squadra rose gold version is about 10k euro
Master rose gold version is 11k euro

that is not really true - Rolex AD and boutique do give discounts. For sports watches - the discount is normally 0 or max 5%. Datejust - AD typically give 10% off and boutique approx 5%.

6 to 7 years ago, the level of discount for datejust was approx 23% if you pay in cash. But gone are the days.

To me, the best place right now to get rolex watches is in KL esp with the huge deprecitation of ringgit and tax refund.

ahh... actually targetting a LADIES DATEJUST, YACHTMASTER, and JLC HOMETIME. so i am finding out the discount for both rolex and JLC.

I heard Italy is the best, can get good discount and with the VAT refund. Got some friends bought PAMs there.
A friend also bought a Daytona from Paris, after VAT the price is better than grey dealers

i still dont get it why people like worldtimer watches with the globe map=:p

What I find damn cool about the CW watch is the location marker. There will be a red dot that can jump around on the dial, allowing you to show which time zone you can referring to. So in this case, the globe map dial actually serves a purpose besides just showing off a world map design!

Some swag for the day:

The IWC catalogue is a very nice hard-bound book that could pass for coffee table material, and very in-depth descriptions of all models on sale.

Quite like most Richemont marketing collateral, very slick, but also a fair chunk of "sales pitch". The Panerai catalogue I had also featured a lot of emphasis on the company's history.

To the right is... why not a Tag Heuer catalogue? For keepsakes and cause was looking at some female watches. That catalogue is more brand ambassadors-centric though.

An oft overlooked brand in Singapore, but I liked the Wave.

Any way for a non customer to get his hands on these catalogue? I'm interested in the Panerai one.
