Beautiful vintage Rolex you have got there.
How did you manage to keep such a large dome scratch free? 😅
Hi bro, thanks for your kind words :)

This is just an old 1970s 1680 sub.
Lucky for me to find one with nice hands and patina.

Yes, the top hat crystal is replaced by an acrylic t19 superdome.. i prefer this look!

More pics to share with retro lovers...

For me, I prefer vintage.. each watch is unique and exudes its own character!
Happy weekends!

Date changing at midnite is uncommon for many watches
Casio watch should do so else it's an issue, your CK watch is normal

As long as it's not perpetual calendar watch you have adjust accordingly. Watch will not auto detect and change date accordingly

Adding on... The date function for some watches will start to move gradually to the new date close to mid night and then it will change completely around 1am to 3am...
Like my seiko 5 watch... The date function will start to turn to the new date after 11pm and around 3am, it will turn completely to the new date.

Therefore... Most watch shops will recommend owners not to do any time adjustments between 10pm to 4am, if the watch has a date function.

The seiko premier perpetual watch is claimed that the owner do not to change the date till 2099... You can consider this watch

唔系喔。。。师兄,寻晚你讲0000时,日期会跳到下一日。
... ...people whom I know and own original rolex SD change the date about 1 to 3 secs after midnight...

but the date window for your SD starts to move downwards about 20mins before Midnight... which should not be happening for rolex SD watches
我仲抄埋你提到的观点,等着听日带表弟买二手捞的时候作为参考重点。。。唔通你讲嘅只限于十仔水鬼款?咁。。。其他款点睇?分享下。唔该。英文都得。

Finally 舍得 tear the protective sticker unveiling the full glory of brushed and polished SS workmanship. Previous pictures looks dull due tot he sticker but not anymore!

Aluminium is more in keeping with the "heritage/retro" theme though. Sure love the gilt dial, rose gold, faux-patina cream lume, the snow-flake hour hand and the gorgeous, gorgeous burgandy bezel! When matched with a distressed leather strap, it is the sexy!!! :lick:

Now where is bro hairylord... ahem, I mean aerolord? He always popped by with a pic of his BB whenever it is mentioned. :D

Loving it too, a truly classic, beautiful and elegant design! :D

Ya hardly see him around for ages here, he's the only guy I met face to face in this watch forum, probably busy due to school's commitment.
