Wonder if i am missing something about the OT500. Why don't buy directly from steinhart website? Still can pre-order and delivery will start from end Oct, and price after converted + shipping + gst also still cheaper than G...on.

A few reasons why buy from Gnomon Watches:

1) Your price calculation is wrong, it should be: (Price + shipping = 526 Euro) x conversion x credit card charges x GST. Because of the credit card charges, you can't know what's the exact number before hand. But right now, without credit charge, it's about S$867. After credit card charge, who knows? Maybe it goes up to S$900?

2) You can bring back your watch to Gnomon Watches for warranties if needed, less trouble than shipping it back to Steinhart. Gnomon Watches will also extend the warranty by 180 days.

3) Free Nato strap!

4) Support local business, especially one which provides good service and doesn't charge an outrageous markup.

What were his reasons?

Hm to quote " new stocks have arrived at AD's and are offering up to 15% discount implying you can get brand new piece at 4150. Therefore price offered at 3.8k is very fair" . Unquote. I'm not sure if there's 15 % discount but guessing that's possible depending on bargaining skills and relationship with the shop. I was willing to let go at 4K.

cheaper by ? the last time I compared, for Steinhart watches it may only be $20-$30 savings ... not really worth. Steinhart using fedex , therefore must add it GST and admin fees

you need to add another $10-$20 (admin charges by fedex) , Steinhart only send by fedex (EMS is soooooo much better )

Watch running too fast?

Hi guys, first time posting although being a HWZ member since 2000. I need an opinion on whether to service my watch.I did some timing for my IWC Big Pilot and notice it is running about 48s faster over 5 days & 14hrs. It is normal or acceptable or should send it in for a check before 2-year warranty expires next Feb? After reading some bad feedback here about the conditions of watches after returned from servicing, I am in 2 minds. Appreciate your opinions.
