Thanks for all the inputs. Not really to look for profit. Just in case in case one day need cash, at least can liquidate.

Daytona SS seems to have the best demand? Sometime the TT prices are so close that I tempted to choose them over the SS black face. The TT panda is nice too!

I got some discounts for my Daytona earlier this year. Just hunt around, sure to get it at a price you can't resist:) good luck

Actually.. I think Daytona SS is v nice. If you can find one priced at around $15-16k range, just grab liao.

Last time I was quoted $15k for 116520 black at the AD.. But I didn't buy... Cuz no date.. Not used to it. :o

Seiko boutique at Vivo?

Or maybe BigTime...

Haven't gotten anything from massdrop before, so I don't know! Haha

Bought quite alot of stuff, especially watches, from massdrop before. Very reliable and very good customer service, the only downside is long waiting time. You can buy the MM300 with peace of mind from them.

The first item I bought from them was shipped to the wrong address (they double ship to some people) resulting in a delay for me. So they sent an email apologizing and refunded me US$50! I won't have know about the delay had they not email me. They will give you regular update so you'll know where is your item.

Anyone with a Rolex sub and a steinhart homage. As a percentage of build quality, do the homage hit around like 75% of the build quality of a Rolex? The blue premium is very tempting to me hehe as an interim itch stopper

Just get SS Daytona; thin, sleek and more refine than a rolex diver. So many pre-own full box and papers in the market now. If you have the mentality of liquidating, just get pre-own. Don't waste a few grand for premium of a new watch.

Agreed! But if AyuReady is looking at celebrating a particular milestone in life, then should just get brand new and don't think about resale value...

Great advice too. Practical economics vs emotional high of a new watch.
I do think Daytona is a watch worth getting new for. Unlikely to sell unless forced by circumstances. Haha initially wanted to grab Daytona but bought batman instead as my first Rolex. Shall now aim to get the Daytona!

This thread is poisonous.

I think BNIB from grey is around 16.5 or so. But if you're going to just wear it like on special occasions, I'd think it might be better to get it pre-owned? Since lesser wrist time mah... Just my thoughts.

Many pre-owned 116520 in good condition out there.. Seldom see Daytona owners "abuse" it...

Hoping to get one too! Wahaha

 I suppose that's after VAT rebate already. That's really good price for new 2 tone Daytona.
