y alot people always associate buying rolex with value???

There's never a right/wrong time to buy a watch. Watches such as Rolex only see a rise, never a drop. Not in sg at least.

Whether to buy a Rolex or any other watch that is expensive (your value of perception of expensive) anot. Depends on your phase in life, your financial status and what not.

If you have the cash (like extra that is sitting around) or you have save it for a long time, ready to drop the money, on top of that you really like it. I will say go for it.

For me. I would say that's how I would decide whether to buy anot.

Sg for Rolex. Go grey. AD must know ppl inside. If not you walk in at most 8%.

Submariner is a classic icon of rolex. The batman is more of a novelty. My personal opinion is buy whatever sings out to you on your wrist.

Value wise, submariner holds value slightly better than the gmt. Luxury watches prices are increased every year. Buy whatever u want and don wait for a good time. There is never a good time.

Rolex U can try hourglass but I have stopped buying rolex a few years ago so nobody to intro.

Many thx for the replies...

Actually the values I'm referring to is more like in term of their build, features, movement which is better as the price of these 2 watches is very close... I not gd at these area...

I don't really care about the market value of the watch as I will not sell it away...

bro gaoxing, where can I get the 8%? I called a lot shop all said bo discount for sport model lei...

mvt for the sub and the gmt is almost the same. just an additional complication.

if you ask me, the sub is a little bit common... so the SD4000 or the batman is more unique.

recently i have been liking the SD4000 more and more... :s13:

I generally find Dickson at suntec is more willing to give discounts and negotiate for freebies.

The worst I had was in Raffles hotel hour glass. Damn snobbish

Search until you find one willing to entertain and give u discount. U have the cash, why worry? I went in and asked to try on the submariner. One guy obliged while the rest ignored me. :D Too bad it is not to my liking. So I didn't buy in the end.

I always buy from the store manager at this branch and she is the most down to earth sales I ever met, same feedback from my friends who bought from her.

New watch hoot! Gruppo Gammo Vanguard PVD. This is going to be their last run for both the Vanguard and PVD version. There will be 2 new models (I think 2) out in March 2016 and one of them will be in DLC!!

Usually I'm a black case brown strap guy, but I'm going with the blue strap for now.

Pay in cash. No cc no nets no mixed payment.

If you just wanna buy the watch.... you can try Chuan or HJ. You can try the 2nd watches till the cow go home also can...

Even if you are not buying at all

Do not call as 100% sure tell you no discount. Many brands have price control and the dealership is worried of mystery shopper and catch them. Go down to the stores, ask to see the watches, have a chat, then slowly u ask the price and if possible have discount anot.

Again... it depends on the watch brands and the models.

Rolex is well known to be very strict on discounts given by AD

That's why most AD only give discount to their regulars
