There is a sale of luxury watches at crowne plaza hotel ballroom next to changi airport ongoing till 10pm tonight. Brands that i saw earlier on include, omega, tissot, ball, panerai, balmain, tag hueur and a few others couldnt remember.

I bought mine from a grey dealer (sealed) in May 2015 for $38k. Maybe the price has gone up, I dunno.

But once I decided to buy a 5712, I hawked over every website, grey dealer sites I knew. And finally caught one that the asking price was lower than usual and bargained down from there.

I think it's still possible, but diligence and patience is required.

wow... think it is the best price ever after the patek price drop feb 2015. Even u sell used i dun think u will lose money.. now below 40K almost impossible to get brand new.... And one thing i notice.. i dun know why the grey dealers always have local sealed set for sale and they are more ex then retail price..

finally gotten this watch ytd after month of contemplating

yes i hate my 6" wirst, sort of cant live up to the watch size...

the watch was the last piece, sort of "display" set, but all the plastic wrapper still intact
the shop gave me $20 discount i bought it
then came some afterthought... having realized it is kinetic, i now fear that the capacitor might had degraded as the watch is likely to maintained at a low charged while being "display" for god knows how long...
and i will have no way of telling

Even a brand new piece will be kept in a drawer with no chance of being charged.

should not be a problem, I've just bought a Seiko kinetic last month.. an older model then.....It was an very old stock.. so far no issue .. wear it for few days continuous .. and the power reserve is fine ..
