Thanks bros for explaining whats a real watch.

Seiko i am fine with me too, but would like a simple classic kind of design with cloth/leather straps.

Simple and classic, you can't go wrong with an Orient Bambino.

I like Seiko divers such as the Sea Urchin range, or you can look at the Seiko Five range too. All cheaper than DW with "inhouse" automatic movement.

像这些,不必去到500,也不必像DW那样只局限于“平价电子表”的印象。。。多好玩呀!

日子久了,看也看厌了。。。 还可以来个大转换!

I wont wear it for work so maybe the watch I would wear it like 2 to 3 days a week something like that.. More for dress watch..

Bro, u may be wrong. If you have a good relationship with the AD, you can squeeze them for more discount. That's what I did. Always squeeze them.

Yup, $1.9K is the discounted price for the 65 from AD.

Most AD will give discount, the amount of discount will depend on many factors such as your relationship, your negotiating ability, payment method etc etc.

Or if you want to skip that, you can go the grey dealer route too.

The problem that I have with the Oris 65 is that the AD will not bring the blue color version into Singapore. I spoke to the Oris rep once, officially the blue one will not be brought into southeast Asia or even the entire Asia.

blue oris 65 is butt ugly. date wheel doesnt even match the dial color. too many colors imo. the blue also reduces the contrast between the numeral and dial.

Thanks bros. Rodina bauhaus issit also as cui as DW?

The Rodina bauhaus looks to be pretty decent, using a Seagull ST17 (a well known chinese movement) at quite a low price especially considering it comes with a sapphire glass! I can't really think of a valid reason to dissuade you from getting it if you like the design and is ok with a Chinese movement.

Personally I would top up abit more and get a Tisell bauhaus. Similar design, much pricier but still affordable at under US$200, and comes with a well regarded Miyota 9015 movement (one of the top Japanese movements you can get).

I saw a lot of ladies wearing DW. It's a fashion brand bah like those Guess watches.
I doubt most youngsters here know about Nomos unless they frequent watch forums. Nomos doesn't advertise much and most of the retailers are in Europe.

Wah....How can compare Nomos with DW!!!!!
Nomos is highly regarding in the horology world. They make almost everything in-house nowadays. :D

Agree with you... When I first started, I also didn't know about Nomos. It's only after I started reading up on them that I know what a hidden gem that they are. Seriously a power house in the horology world. Their designs are very iconic and yes, their in-house movements are fantastic too.

Hmmm maybe I should add a Nomos to my to-buy list? :s13:
