Probably in bloated state by now even if left unused.

The cheapest I can find is around $8 but from MY, local one is about $10. Both are probably non authentic!

My Redmi 1 is still going strong except for the bloating battery. Too bad there is no longer any ROM updates, more and more apps no longer run on KitKat!

IMHO, the best stable ROM on this phone is Miui v8 (ported from Redmi Note).

Ah I see. The other reason I switched away was cause it was only on 3G... Hence the switch to Redmi Note 4G after it came out... Didn't know there was a ported MIUI 8 ROM.

There are many ported version out there, tried many but decided to stick to this ROM. There is even one that allow both SIM slot to use 3G calling. But end of the day, like what you said, it is still limited to 3G.

Is Note 5A still supported? One thing I dislike about Xiaomi is, they tend to release new model rather quickly. Older and EOL model is history, can't even find the download link of the last ROM release!

Not interested in Note or any other model except Redmi 1.

It's been a long while since I last visit Xiaomi site, look like they have revamp it, previously all EOL model cannot be found. Anyway, don't even have the last Developer ROM which based on Miui 9 release.

at the top of the download dialogue got a link to go back to see all supported devices. again, u just need to open ur eyes big big.
miui dropped developer roms earlier this year, so of course dont have download links on official site. maybe if u google can find, but no guarantees.

Don't need to be a smart-alec, of course I know that lah else why I mentioned how come there is no Developer ROM listed.

Anyway, I already got what I am looking for long ago but not from Xiaomi official site which is why I lament earlier about their support.

BTW, I don't need help other then where to get cheap replacement battery for this model.
