Boot to Stock Recovery Mode
- Hold volume down button & power up the phone
- Press power again when u see the Android robot
- At the menu, use vol down to scroll, and vol up to select

Enable Developer Options
- Go to Settings, About Phone
- Tap 7 times on "Android Version"
- Return to Settings and you should see {} Developer options

Move Apps to SD - Root first & use Link2SD or System App Remover

Increase System / Phone Storage Size - Link

I manage to get one. Here is my tips

Tips to Purchase

1. open the website where out of stock is showing before 12pm, and keep refreshing until you see the out of stock text change to Add to my Cart. Once change click it.
2. It will redirect you to choose two options, Bundle or Phone only, choose whatever you want, and click Next
3. In the next screen sometimes it will show ask you to buy silicone case, check the one you want and click Checkout
4. If it says "Server is busy" or some error happens, click My Cart and click Checkout again from your Cart until successful, if your Cart is empty repeat from number 1
5. Here you need to enter your delivery address, fill in your Address line 1, line 2, and postal code, then your phone number and click the button to pay. If it errors again saying server is busy or what, click My Cart and see whether your order is there, if not repeat from step 1.
6. Now you will be redirect to choose payment option, which is Paypal only, click the button and enter your payment info or paypal account, for me I choose paypal account because it will be much faster. After click Pay Now in paypal, paypal will redirect you back to Xiaomi where it will show success and a picture with xiaomi icon holding loudspeaker
7. At here your payment still pending, refresh your page and click My Order, until you see Payment Received. If it still pending there might be some problems between paypal and xiaomi, either paypal think the payment is unauthorised or need extra checking, for mine, I refresh My order page and it automatically becomes Payment Received, and the order details showing the stage Pay. Next stage will be shipping

That is my experience, maybe can help someone out there who is not IT guy.

What you need to note
Once you place order, server will keep that info in cookies, which means that you can click My Order page to complete the payment if for some reason your previous attempt fails because of server busy.

If you already place order but in My order page, the item is not there (happens to me) where it goes back because of server busy, you need to repeat click Add to My Cart again to place another order. As long as you didn't make payment means that your order is not valid. Only when you have made payment the order is valid! And if for some reason your cart suddenly shows the previous fail order (after it disappear previously), you can ignore it by cancelling it and keep the order that you have made payment.

Very big price!! Got sdcard expansion some more.
Chinese phones should come out more and push the other prices down. Samsung and I phones are way overpriced.

oh ya, the newer model, 1S. Some people at Xiaomi SG facebook page complaining why selling us an old model when the new model is coming out almost the same day.

haha. Telco confirm want to sell. The Lumia 520 already free with the cheapest contract. With the RedMi being even cheaper, they will still do free with the same cheapest contract. In the end earn more $$$$$$.

Interesting phone, a bit concerned about the Mediatek processor tbh. Haven't heard great things about it, but i guess it's cheaper than Qualcomm's chip, that's why they using it. The only thing stopping me is MIUI, i prefer vanilla android. Maybe can buy and install Google Now Launcher. haha.
