How to do the following:

1. Put weather below the time in lock screen?
2. The date on lock screen shows 03/23 even after changing the date format to regional. Any solution?
3. Is it possible to set password to hidden photo album?
4. I have created a folder in SD card. How to move photos from gallery to the photo I created in SD card?
Thank you.

Thanks,
1)Anyone one encounter screen flicker a bit when scolling up and down especially when u use a bit of force on your finger to scroll on stock browser.
Use dolpline don't have this problem.

2)Do you know which folder to put in photo so that can sync to mi cloud ?

3)May i know where to find theme app ?
Tap Themes App -> Category -> Tap Components button -> Font.

New to MuiV5.. Thanks

reply to your question 3 - if you didn't change the arrangement of the app, it should be at the first page. look for the word "themes". if not, you can use the google search bar and type "themes".

Answer to your question no 4: There is an Explorer app on the phone's desktop, you can copy & paste, cut & paste, moving around with the app. :)

Reply to qns no 3: There is a Themes app on the phone's dekstop, tap the Themes app, then download the Themes you want. Before you download, I suggest you put in a sd card first. :)

Do the downloaded themes default to the sdcard?

Not sure, but the phone will prompt you to insert sd card. When I wanted to download themes, it prompted me to insert a sd card. After I put in the sd card, then no problem for me to download the themes. That is the reason why I suggest to put in a sd card. :)

v13.0 rom SG RedMi Handset Rooted

1. Install HM1SG-TWRP-2.5.0.0-stas2z.zip to gain TWRP. Remove battery to power off the phone, and then press Down Button + Power Button (without accidentally restarting the phone as you normally would or you'll have to repeat this process) to access to TWRP.

2. Then under TWRP, install root-stable.zip and phone was rooted.

This is again the link for reference:
How to install TWRP and ROOT your RedMi/Hongmi/Redrice - Redmi 1/1S/Note - MIUI Official Community

Successful root on Sg Redmi after updating to latest ver13 sg rom. One thing to note after installing twrp is that you still recovery boot using the redmi recovery, but once u select Recovery (instead of fastboot or boot normally), it will then load the Teamwin recovery.

Well, although I don't understand all the technical jargon in the article, I already knew most of the things in the article.

If you are into photography for long enough, you can tell whether an image sensor and/or lens can make it or not, from a photography point of view.

3 major things affecting image quality :
1) camera lens
2) image sensor
3) conversion of the analogue signals captured by the image sensor into digital forms

The limitation of phone cameras is no excuse for poor image quality and I was not even commenting whether Xiaomi's camera is good/bad vs. other phone cameras nor whether the camera is good/bad for a S$169 phone.

I was basically just commenting the picture quality of the image from a photography imaging point of view.

Yes, I have seen much better image quality from many other phones before.

I mentioned I cannot be called a photographer because even someone who is not a photographer but with just some basic knowledge of photography, can easily see and tell that redmi's picture quality isn't very good from a image quality point of view because of noise level (which would be very apparent under low light shooting conditions).

If you cannot see it, then you are probably a complete photography noob.

WoT. basically you are stuck on level 1. just commenting and describing what you see. any tom, dick and harry can see whether a picture quality is good or bad once you blow up the image to 100%. Unless one is blind, definitely pixel noise is obvious.

I had harboured faith that you had some modicum of intellect in you and therefore i proceeded to level 2 i.e. attempted to explain WHY the image(s) are noisy as such (the reasoning of which btw apply to most smartphone camera images)

seems like my good faith was lost on you. damn shame.

Thanks. Anyone care to share the use of Mi cloud service ?

I found some information regarding the Mi Cloud service from Xiaomi China forum (all written in Chinese):

MIUI

To use the service, first we have to log in to the Mi Cloud service. Under the Mi Cloud service, we must turn on the Sync albums:

Phone Desktop -> System folder -> Mi Cloud -> Cloud album -> There are 2 buttons here. Turn on the Sync albums. By default, the Upload via Wi-Fi only is on. We can turn it off, but it will be using our data usage.

And then, we have to store our photos in 2 folders: /SDcard/DCIM/Camera folder or /SDcard/DCIM/Screenshots folder.

Theoretically, once we take a photo, it will automatically sync the photo to the Mi Cloud immediately, but the truth is it really sync but takes hours to sync.

It only can sync photos only, for folders (with photos inside) not yet at the moment.

p/s: sorry for my broken English. :)

DBS sending SMS to Redmi phone for password to confirm online purchases also error, and the message totally never show up in Inbox (checked with other SMS apps)

Then the mobile data usage app also problematic, cannot adjust start and end date, then when I reset the data usage back to 0 still tell me I exceed.

WTF Xiaomi. I want to go back to vanilla Android now.
