if really want to save buy lcd from online china site diy but most likely the lcd over there are not original even status original.

SOS...Today's while on the MRT Train, I dropped the phone while getting up from the seat, and it cracked. I know this is no warranty case, but when I went to the service center in person, I was told it will cost me $128 to replace the screen. The phone is still working fine, aesthetically speaking, there is a crack line on the glass about 3 cm long....anyone know where I can get the glass replaced?

Buy new one sua. Lol.

Go get another redmi or Mi3, if not wait for Mi3s, or Mi tablet or Redmi Note

Actually can fix it for $128 and get any tempered glass sp from qoo10. Only costs under $10. So next time won't happen again.

mine shipped 8 May. normally takes how long more? mine state check UPS but I am not able to track with the given Transport number

If your transport number is start with 6..., try check Fedex. Or maybe the UPS side has not update the data, so you are unable to track your order.

Wa Fedex is fast.. yesterday at shenzhen.. now it at SG sorting facility.. i bought it monday and i think maybe tomorrow I will receive my redmi... in time to give for mother's day.

Hmmm. My xiaomi performance slowed down a lot. Was playing game motor world car factory n the phone laggs like hell...

Noted tat when i do other tasks, 2 apps on background, it laggs... anyone else have tat issue?

Tempered glass sp will prevent scratches on touch screen.
Are you saying it can also prevent lcd crack when phone is dropped ?
