although xiaomi is good and cheap but i feel that mi3 is a better choice.
not only it has far better specs for its price, it has more frequent and better updates.

i am also redmi user

i open a thread about an mtk phone tengda s5 which has OCTA CORE and such a low price 179$, i believe octa core phone price soon will drop and further pushing lower spec mtk phone such as redmi to lower its price too.

now i am a bit doubt whether to buy redmi note or tengda, the bad side of tengda is the os update, support and not MIUI.... i like MIUI because can pin contact on start screen which makes me easy calling my friends.

Trying to convince myself not to pay for the redmi I already checked out Liao w bundle and 2 powerbanks.... Must pay by 12 Tom else it disappears.

I dun need the redmi as I am fruit user and no more in laws or parents to offer the phone to Liao... Doesn't make sense I get the phone and keep as spare and let it depreciate
Right....

yes Mi3 is a better device. But costs 3 times more and no dual sim.

Maserati GT is a far better car than a VW Golf...but..

Anyone knows how the backup app works on redmi? I did a back up using the xiaomi app (abt 530mb). So if I change to say, another xiaomi phone, everything is copied over to the new phone? Eg apps, apps data, settings, passwords, layout, wallpapers etc etc?

Hi guys recently started using redmi from iPhone and I noticed this key chain app Which is apparently from Google keep activating and overriding my location settings to searching for my location. I noticed it keep kicking in when I access data through 3G. I looked through the permissions and there's no option to block it. I find it discerning that an app can override user settings. Anyone knows how yo deactivate or get rid of it?

Hi guys, need some help over here.

I am trying to set a small mp3 (Around 30.2KB) as my notification ringtone. So what i did was I connected the phone to my PC and i copied the file in Phone Storage --> Ringtone.

Then I go to General Settings-->Sound-->Default Notification-->Custom -->Select track to try to select the file. However, I can't find the file inside.

Did I miss out anything? Or is there another way of doing things? I am running on 4.2.2HM2013023
