wonder whether this App2SD Pro app found at the Xiaomi Market store would work.. anyone tried it before?

Just try out backup feature in XiaoMi.
However, the data is 452MB.
How to remove it ?

Also, any way to store the photo taken with the camera into a SD card ? Couldn't found the setting after finding so long

After you put in the SD card, new photos taken should be saved to the SD card, no? To check, open the Explorer (like the file manager in MS Windows), change to List view and then select the storage you want to see by pressing the down arrow icon in the upper left corner. Photos taken using the camera are in DCIM/camera.

So you can confirm the photos are NOT saved to the SD card by using the Explorer??

Once you put in the sd card, the photos that you taken will save to sd card by default.

To add shortcut to a website, try this:

open default browser, go bookmark tab, long press the page you want to add, select Add shortcut to home from the sub-menu.

To add other shortcuts to your homescreen, try this:

Menu -> Edit Home screen -> Widgets, from here look for the things you want.

This probably already posted before, if so please point me to the thread. I got myself a Redmi (HM1W) and I want to root it so I can move apps to SD card. Can some one share me the link on step-by-step how to root this model of Redmi and maybe also on how to transfer apps to SD card.

Really appreciate assistant on this. Thank you in advance.

Was intending to pass this to my son, but now, I think only can give it to my dad who only needs a bigger button screen cos my son's game data is larger than mine.

That was one and important reason why I skipped the Redmi 1, waiting for Redmi 1S, if not, Note ~

Anyone encounter cannot received SMS from banks and CC 2 factor authentication code? I cannot receive as it prompt error “SMS received stop” or something like that.

This is a known issue they are resolving it, for the meantime the workaround is either you delete off the previous OTP or set Google Hangout as your default SMS
