few issues i encounter even in latest versoin 15

1. GPS issue - it will not accurately always navi the place or simply just hang halfway - very dangerous leh esp you driving. how to solve it? haiz

2. dbs otp issue - as hwz-ers mentioned, the only way is to use hangout cos i tried to delete previous otp also no use.

3. how to root version 15 sia.... cos i dl and install apps n games... cannot move to sd card... like that wat the use. so easily run out of space.

Follow the steps here to root your phone, use the sg zip should work just fine.

Rooted my v15 previously without issues.

This is actually the MediaTek chip problem, which it is very well known for its GPS issues..

Nothing can fix that right? I drive and use GPS sometimes too.

Also, anyone encounter problems with SwiftKey not remembering personalized words on the redmi?

Switched over to it, VIOLA! Windows phone giant icons! She said the phone so much better. Can see well and the quick dial icons are very good. "So big can see face."

Did you guys noticed that the REDMI phone does not RING immediately when someone calls? At least 2~3 missed rings, then it starts ringing...

Same with the mi3. I guess its a MIUI bug/feature....

yup the gps on redmi is simply horrible. had it on for runkeeper, it still couldn't secure a lock even after i completed my run.

gave up and sold it off for $150.

but then again, for $169, redmi is a bang for bucks daily driver with no frills.

please buy a proper GPS if you're such a driver that must rely so much on the GPS to drive. Dangerous on the road too...

Please use GPS to plan which road to go and know where to turn, and not driving blindly, waiting for the GPS to show you the next turn coming in 300m. That's really dangerous.

Any phone, got call or sms, your gps is half gone. maybe left the Voice Guidance only.

Hmm.. I use Sygic. No issue at all with Redmi GPS.
Lock on within seconds. So far so good.

redmi note currently has a bug, photos taken by camera cannot be saved to SD card; not sure if this is related to your problems
