Unable to receive OTP SMS from DBS

I have xiamo redmi. Updated with official latest MIUI

When ever DBD send OTP, the SMS application crashes. How to solve the problem?

i have redmi, and why the themes is diff from the miui themes that can be downloaded for another handset such as samsung from google play? its much much lot of choices than the real redmi handset

not sure about crashing, but i Know there was a OTP bug in the sms app since launch.

Anyway, why not try using Google Hangouts as default sms app instead?

Every morning on the MRT, I hardly see anyone using XiaoMi...but yet....so fast OOS every Tues....

If your Xiaomi handset is bought outside of Singapore or is imported handset from China, Play Store wouldn't be installed. You can get Play Store and other Google apps in Mi Market from this app ' Google Installer ' .

I just tried that, but play store refuse to boot up

Not every pcs bought in XM SG is been used by singaporean as main phone. Alot are bought by non singaporean and alot are also exported out to other countries.

Many use their Xiaomi as backup/spare phone, so commonly not being used outside too.

The speaker for Redmi was bulit at the very top of the phone.

Please go and take a physical look.

During conversation, you must place the phone such that the top of the phone is somewhere in the middle of your ear for better volume.

I have replaced my iphone 5S with Redmi for about 3 months.

I am a happy redmi user here.

i tried changing the theme back to the last non-problematic one and it went away for awhile. Now its back again, just less frequently.

Have you try doing a factory data reset?

Settings > Backup & reset > Factory data reset

Having the known issue of not receiving dbs sms.
installed hangout but sms is going through the stock sms app.
anyone know how to disable the stock sms app so that hangout can take over?

silly question: why do you receive so many messages from dbs and why you have to keep them ??
