hi guys, i happened to have just started a new thread on hair loss problems...din know there's already one here. anyway, you guys ever heard of the "hair stimulator"? it uses the technique of ancient acupuncture to aid blood circulation to the scalp hence promoting growth. best thing is it can be self-operated at home, saves u the hassle of going down to Yunnan or Beijing 101, and much much cheaper too! i got mine from a website. u may wanna try visiting this: www.myhairlossremedies.com.

don't worry. most likely in 20years, something near a cure will have been out in the market. the most promising as i have stated is hair multiplication which might be out in between 2-10years time. also other promising drug like Neosil's OSH 101 which is in Phase II clinical studies in Europe, TB4 which might be out in China this year, Curis which is very very promising and others is in development. so do have some hope friend.

also, if you are intrested in getting generic drugs, i can intro you some webbie to consider. i don't wish to post here and been accuse of trying to sell drugs. haha...

for the hair tonic, personally i won't have so much hope on such stuffs. but i hope it work well for you. you never know what you might found. good luck and keep us update.

it not so difficult to go to any pharmacy and ask. i use to get from them a brand call minoxi5 which cost $57++ for 80ml. not sure of the price now. just go and ask.

i don't have too much hope in that product as it do nothing for the cause of MPB. there are tons of similar device out there which does nothing for hairloss as least in long term. if i am buying such device, i rather go for laser comb which have more study and evident that it help in hairloss than that thing.

no offence, but looking at your past posts, i tend to believe you are trying to sell some products rather than really wanted to discuss about hairloss. i give your advice and recommend a miss anytime from the way you post.

although this is not a speak good english forums, i must say your english is horrible!!! i am barely able to make up what are you trying to say.

let me try to state your question again. you are asking, will stopping propecia after some time cause you hair loss if you don't have it in the first place?

my question is why take propecia if you don't have hairloss in the first place? it not going to do anything for you if you are not suffering from MPB at the first place. certainly it won't grow any hair at all.

what "Withdrawal of treatment leads to reversibility of effect within 12 months" mean that if you suffer from MPB and propecia help you to regrow your hair, you will lose all those hair you gain within 12months and back to the original state.

throw that box of stuff away and go out to enjoy life.

160rm is cheaper than what you can get in singapore for propecia. so i say the price is fine.

so Isopropyl, how to stop or cure the inflammation scrap? because whenever i apply something (etc tonic) always got the itchy feeling

well i did suffer hairloss lastime, i think it is because of scrap inflammation, because few years back i always scratch my scrap until very red on my crown part
so now i wan to regrow my hair where i had loss

i decide to use growell again, so any taker for the propecia? willing to let go at cheap cheap price

are you living in singapore or malaysia?

try to get some emu oil. try the link below to get in singapore. that seem to be the only place i am able to locate some in singapore.
http://www.cancerstory.com/servlets/emu_oil.jsp
emu oil is great stuff for human skin. it seem to be able to promote hair grow and reduce inflamation. for your condition, i strongly suggest you try it for your case.

other thing you can try is 1% hydrocortisone cream which you can find from most pharmacy for $2. need to ask the pharmacist for it. hydrocortisone cream is the weakest form of cortisone cream. long term use of stronger cortisone cream can cause skin thinning. but hydrocortisone cream from my research should be safe for long term use. of course, you only need to use until the inflammation die down. cortisone steroids have strong anti-inflammation properties. but it also stop your skin from repairing itself. it have been found to regrow hair, but sooner or later, it can damage your scalp. so strong cortisone steriods is not recommended other than hydrocortisone. even so, use it with care.

growell = minoxidil. most likely it won't do much if you suffer hairloss due to inflammation. but same as propecia, you got to keep using it or you lose the effect. i won't suggest you use it too.

Hi, tks for your help. so pls pm me the links you think are good for hairloss purchases. I'm more interested in getting minoxidil than any other things.

As for Proscar, i've checked at JB and i can get it at 192RM without limit on how much i can get and without presciption.
those interested to know where can pm me and i'll tell you

i have read thru this looong thread and i must say its really informative.. since i gained more than a handful of useful price information, i thought i should contribute alittle of my own findings ..

personally, i have been using nizoral for about 6 months, and have been varying the doses to test effectiveness.. here is what i found out with regards to hair loss..

2% Nizoral -
very effective in stopping hair loss i.e. esp for the following day, hair loss is drastically reduced barring any onset of illness (yes getting sick seems to cause hair to fall more readily).. but 2% is too harsh (scalp feels funny) so i downgraded to 1% with conditioner..

1% Nizoral -
wasnt very effective when i first started.. hair loss is reduced slightly only.. and after many many trial and errors.. i found that the best effect i got is to shampoo normally first (i suggest something moisturizing.. i use dove shampoo) to get rid of all the dirt that might prevent Nizoral absorption

then i use the 1% on the scalp and massage scalpe for 3-4mins.. okay massage is not very important but leaving the nizoral on the scalpe for 3-4 mins is VERY important; MUST have discipline here

another point to add, i use nizoral 1% EVERYDAY because i notice when i use EVERY OTHER DAY, i will experience cycles of increase hair loss :o (note: altho instructions say to shampoo twice each application, i only do it once after normal shampoo.. seems like no effect on hair loss so save the nizoral 1%)

sorry for sounding like a broken record but i must stress the discipline in letting nizoral 1% rest on your hair for 3-4mins.. there were times when i didnt maintain discipline, hair loss increased and wondered if nizoral is losing its effect for me..

I should also add that i am using minoxidil for hair growth (Growell 5%) and it seems to be working well.. but is alittle heavy on the wallet at $78 for 60ml @ NTUC.. I am thinking of buying online.. Kirkland - any issues with this brand? i understand some are having scalp problems with this.. if not recommended, i might go for the more expensive Rogaine?

Anyone can recommend an online brand i should use if Growell is working for me?

you might want to try Nizoral cream as well since the shampoo is working so well for you ;)
cost about $15++ for a 20gram tude. you can leave it on your scalp whole day long without it being hard on your hair.

Kirkland is make by the same company as Rogaine. so it the same stuff. but some report that kirkland seem to be a tab more greasy than rogaine. most people are having scalp problem with minoxidil is due to the PPG content. there are PPG free minoxidil. but i believe the PPG content is responsible for a large part on how well it work. during double blind study on minoxidil, the placebo solution make up of PPG and water is found to grow hair although not as well as the real solution.

Hi to all,
i'm thinking of using Nizoral Shampoo to fight my hairloss, i know this has been discussed earlier but i 'm a little confused as to which version i should use.
There's 1% and 2 % right? They are stated as to be used for dandraff but are useful in fighting hairloss right?
Tks to all :)

hi, can u elaborate how ur scalp feels funny?

Since 2% Nizoral is a prescribed shampoo, won't it be harmful to us if we use it frequently?

Personally I am using Nizoral 1% everyday.
