finally my revivogen package is here after 3-4 weeks.
I will post update one mth later.

louisliao, I'm using Nizoral 1%, but i think it will change to twice weekly since I trying out revivogen shampoo. I wonder why Nizoral shampoo bottle shrinks and its price increases. Can't find a bigger bottle of Nizoral. Strangly, though Nizoral is an anti dandruff shampoo, I still suffer from dandruff problem. Maybe Nizoral makes my hair and scalp dry.
remember, for nizoral to be truly effective, you must allow nizoral to stand for 3-4 mins.. as for bottle shrinking, i guess bo bian only 1 manufacturer rite no competition? sigh.. but its relatively cheaper already compared to the US i think.. singapore nizoral think its made in the phillipines

as for your dry hair n scalp, i suggest using a moisturising shampoo before applying nizoral.. personally i use Dove..

good luck with revivogen!

Bird King:

the study that show Nizoral work is use between 2-3times per week. i have read that the active ingredient in nizoral "ketoconazole" is safe for long term use. so the "harsh" effect of nizoral is most likely cause by leaving the shampoo on your hair too long.

if your hair can take it, you can use it daily. if not, just get the cream and use it on problem spot that on days that you do not use the shampoo. 1% nizoral shampoo is much more gentle than the 2% version.

you can switch brand of shampoo. it won't do you any harm. don't worry.

does it help? most believe it play a part in combating hair loss but not by itself. so i will add it. at less it can help in making your scalp stay healthy which is very important in fighting hair loss. it a worthy addition to your treatment.

louisliao and wawa81:

anti-DHT can help in growing hair for some. another off the record proven hair grow ingredient is Retin A. but it can cause problem for your scalp since it a chemical peel.

HmHmHm:

if you are sure that your hair loss is due to MPB and not other cause, then no point going to NSC for treatment. save your money on your products. if you are supecting it is due to other cause, yes, give it a try.

I'm currently using schwarzkopf hair loss shampoo & i kinda like 'em....in fact 2 types of 'em. One to really clean deeply (used about 2 times a week), another for daily use, to fight hair loss
Would you advise me to use Nizoral hair loss shampoo to my regime??
I'm afraid using using 3 different types of shampoo in a week will do more harm than good..... :s11:

i have never heard of schwarzkopf products and can't find any information on it after a quick search.

firstly, the deep clean shampoo. we all know the old theory of clogged follicles is the cause of hair loss is not true. so i doubt this shampoo really help you in anyway.

the hair loss shampoo. i do not know the mode of action of this shampoo so i can't comment on it. it might help by reducing inflammation etc. there are also other shampoo like nioxin and nisim that is sold in some saloon and is marketed for hair loss which really does nothing except being a good shampoo. so this might be one of it.

i do not think that by adding nizoral will have any problem. but i have mention that it is not much on it own also. so if you want to add it, go ahead. minimum, it won't cause any harm and for most, result in better scalp health. so don't worry. infact, most people felt that it is better to use multiple shampoo.

some of the shampoo that have some science backing is nizoral and NANO shampoo by Dr. Proctor. he is very well respect in the area of hair loss. his shampoo is quite expensive but can last for sometime. another that have a little science behind is alpecin shampoo. but again, shampoo on it own does do something, but not very much.

there are also other like nanosal minoxidil shampoo worth checking out. but the price is very high. i rather use minoxidil on it own.

nope. they don't seem to be too helpful in tracking and answering your email on product not arriving on time. but the product did arrive in the end. it took about 3weeks.

btw, i order PPG free 5% minoxidil from Dr. Lee and planing to use it once per day. i am having problem with PPG product and hope this is suitable for me. Dr. Lee product is good and it not too expensive.

Yup i understand this logic, this also apply when going to transplant

but i noticed my crown scalp is red-dish color, so i assume tat it's imflammation
therefore, going to try my luck use Emu Oil

btw, can i get Emu oil from nature farm? ever heard of emu shampoo?

i don't think nature farm have. so far the link i posted is the only place i can find in singapore.

yes, there is emu shampoo. but i do not know whether can you can it in singapore. if not you can order on line. one of the most popular brand is http://www.uniquelyemu.com/
it a Aus company. the brand i found in singapore is from USA. i read that Aus emu oil product suppose to be better. but i think the brand i found is quite good.

emu oil can be quite expensive. i got mine for $28 for 2oz(60ml). of course, the money i think is worth it.

anyway, you can try some quality extra virgin olive oil for your inflammation. although it not as good as emu oil, it is pretty close in reducing inflammation and it much much more cheaper. spend some money on a good brand extra virgin olive oil and it can last you very very long. below is a small study on a few different oil for inflammation. you can see olive and emu oil is close.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/...ve&db=PubMed&list_uids=12934669&dopt=Abstract

extra virgin olive oil is great for your skin too. it work much better than many expensive Moisturizing cream or lotion out there. those cream or lotion is expensive and have no study to prove that it work well. so i rather use extra virgin olive oil or emu oil. wet your skin then apply a light layer of oil. a couple of hours later you will find it not so oily as it absorbed to your skin. if not, use it a few hours, few times per week before you bath for it to work if you don't like it on your skin too long.

both emu and olive oil does not clog pores so it ok to use on your face.

becareful with that stuff. i read before that some farm sell low quality or oil that is stale to other company cheaply. because such products use alot of other additive to mask the quality of the oil, so it often not detectable. it might not be as good as higher quality one but that the good part.

emu oil is the best penetrator so it might bring any unwanted chemical in the product into you.

of course, what i read might be some company plot trying to get you to buy the expensive stuffs.

hmm.. but this emu oil cream is manufactured in Aussieland and marketed by NTUC fairprice.. should be relatively safe no?

i've been using it for about 1 month now and i must say it does wonders to my skin.. but im not too sure about the hair part since nizoral and minoxidil are already working their stuff almost perfectly.. i use it as a hairgel as the emu cream, when hardened, holds the hair really well and its way cheaper than most hard gel products on the shelf

the cream i got contains a whole lot of other moisturising stuff

but if you want 100% pure emu oil, i think that bottle goes for S$7-8 for about 100ml(can't recall) @NTUC also by G&M

oh yes and they do sell extra virgin olive oil too.. and lanolin oil as well.. the pricing is pretty standard.. think its also $4.90 for 500g.. but i dont know if those oil also got quality issues or not..

i have no idea. i can't find it in NTUC as well as any information of it online.

but this is the cheapest emu oil i have even hear of. every good brand price is alot higher than it. if it is suitable, that is great.

Hello. Just found this thread. Been taking Propecia for more than 4 months. I am not sure whether there is new hair growth but I am sure there is less hair loss. I am 27 by the way. There is not much of an issue with its side effect as I am still unattached.
