I'm pretty sure it has to be prescribed by a specialist - probably a urologist - as it is primarily used to treat benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) with the 'side benefit' of treating hair loss. I was on it for 2 years to treat BPH. It's pretty strong stuff although I didn't experience any serious side effects - apart from the loss of chest hair of all things!

Indian doctor. Can't remember the name. I don't think I'll ever take finasteride. Sex drive more important than hair loss to me lol

Oh, i am actually curious how does it stack up against Finasteride in terms of slowing hairloss. There was a youtube video where Ashton Kutcher talked about being on it to treat his hairloss.

From what I can recall, it’s basically a more potent version of Finasteride. The potential for side effects will be higher too.

there is only 2 FDA approved treatment so far. One is to use Rogaine Foam. Can get from Ebay local sellers. another is to take finasteride. need doctor prescription. have side effects.

use Revita anti dht shampoo. get from lazada. use all 3 for best result. any other methods such as wad laser comb, beijing 101 all are nonsense and dont work

I used to struggle with hair balding too.. Medication didn't help so i resorted to hair fillers instead. I did mine at prettyfun beauty place, can consider if you've yet to find a good doctor.

Foam is easier to apply (will not drip down so easily from your crown to your face neck etc) and dries faster. but some scalps are sensitive to the foam. Personally i prefer liquid form as it seems to work better for me (less hairfall observed). Downside is it takes longer to dry and you got to wait for it to dry before can style hair for work/school. Try both and make your own conclusion

For hair loss, the doctors usually will eye-ball your head quickly to make sure it's not something urgent. Because if it was Alopecia Areata, that is an auto-immune condition and urgent intervention.

If you are just wanting meds, then you are out of luck, because polyclinic now stop selling finasteride and minoxidil. They will refer you to NSC without doing much, but then the wait time to public hospital is long.

If you are wanting something more holistic and not just medications, the polyclinic doctor can do simple blood test before making any further decisions.
