Anyone knows how much NSC is selling the Finesteride (5mg)?

NSC doesn't prescribe Finasteride 5mg. FDA-approval for hair loss only 1mg, so gahmen doctor sure follow that guideline.

Oh, i am actually curious how does it stack up against Finasteride in terms of slowing hairloss. There was a youtube video where Ashton Kutcher talked about being on it to treat his hairloss.

I wouldn't recommend taking 5mg finasteride for hair loss. you are more likely to experience side effects (low libido, ED, tiredness) 5-10% chance vs 2% chance for finasteride 1mg, yet it is not better than 1mg in improving your hair loss.

1mg is enough. you could consider adding minoxidil on top of finasteride

Polyclinics do sell minoxidil 5% but only the liquid version. I just picked some up yesterday. Can verify by going to the polyclinic online shopping platform. But for finasteride, yes, it is a prescription drug so have to be prescribed by a specialist.

I have just started on finasteride. Went to nsc as non-referral case (even then had to wait 2 months!). Had full blood count and thyroid tests as part of consultation. Total paid approx. 200 for all the blood tests and non subsidized normal rate consultation, excl medication. Medication is 12 bucks per mth of finasteride. Minoxidil was offered too but i rejected as i had surplus at home and the subsidized rate not much cheaper as compared to online.

Learnt a lot about hair transplant and various non-surgical medical treatments to stimulate hair growth. Suggest have a look at their videos to understand your options and not just go for hocus pocus treatments/potions that's not scientifically proven

Also view the videos on finasteride in The Hair Loss Show and understand how finasteride stops/slows balding in about 85% of men Minoxidil will only stimulate growth but not stop the underlying hormonal changes that are causing balding.

1 to 2 yrs. It slowed down but gradually now the crown / vortex also started to thin

Info. on finasteride from NSC. Finasteride is for life, once stop taking, hair loss will start again within 3-6months. After I stopped for 1 year+, noticeable hair loss started, up to individuals, if u care more about your appearance than your libido, just take and heck care.

Dunno if GP's prescription can get from NSC's pharmacy, now the generic brand they issue is Stercia, manufactured in LOS, so much cheaper than propecia from outside which should be 60-70+?
