Unwanted - Does your mino 15% contain other ingredients? I am only using Regaine shampoo to keep my scalp clean for the mino dose.

normally min 15% will contain an acid. this is because in order to dissolve such huge amount of minoxidil in a solution the PH of the solution need to be slightly acidic. commonly, the acid will be 5% azelaic acid. reason is because the seller will try to market azelaic acid as a type of "anti-androgen". sadly, that appear to be only marketing hype as azelaic acid only show to have that effect in-vitro while in-vivo similar effect is absent. another common acid use for more honest or better inform seller is phosphoric acid.

the vehical of min 15% commonly use is glycerin, alcohol and water. as mention before, propylene glycol the commonly use vehical for standard min 5% is a much more better vehical then glycerin as it penetrate the skin much better then glycerin. so it to say although it contain 15% of minoxidil, it is not accurate to say it is min 15% VS min 5% if comparing the 2 strength due to different vehical usage.

oh, to add on. just use some standard and cheaper shampoo will do. there really nothing special about the Progaine shampoo.

true, but most cheap shampoo has additional conditioner etc.
if there is a coat of conditioner on scalp, i think the effect of the minoxidil will be reduced?
last time neturogena has a cheaper version of in-between shampoo that suppose to leave behind zero residue, but was discontinued.

don't worry about that. conditoner is design to bind to hair on the surface or through penetration. it hardly stay on scalp especially true for shampoo.

the strong surface-active-agent in shampoo will pretty much get rid of all the stuffs on your scalp and even on hair. there is hardly much conditioner able to stay on your hair in shampoo therefore you always shampoo your hair first before using conditioner and not the other way round.

just use shampoo you enjoy as it won't make significant different compare to progaine. all those so call over washing cause dryness to hair or oil gland over sensitive is pretty much urban legends without scientific evidence. i know i will get shot by saying this but i pretty much stand-by a couple of studies for this unfortune event;)

yup. although it not much on it own but it does help. it in the so call "big 3" in hairloss treatment. it suppose to have some "anti-androgen" effect. keto does have "anti-androgen" effect itself therefore at time it is being use for prostate cancer patient orally. topically, it appear to be effective to a certain degree even deliver in form of shampoo. if you are not allegy to it, it a no brainer to add as PART OF YOUR TREATMENT as everyone washes their hair anyway.

also, there are claim that keto have some anti-inflammation effect which i can't verify if it is a direct effect of keto. inflammation have been suggested to be one of the factor trigger by DHT which contribute to hairloss.

it best to have reasonable expectation. even if min does work for you, the result will be noticable around 3-6months. infact for many users with good result with min, it is common to notice a "shed" after a period of time before hair begin to grow. it cause by "replacement" of old hair pushed out by the new ones.

as much as you have read before people having great regrow with min after just one month, i will take it with a big pinch of salt. physiologically speaking it is not possible. min does not make hair grow any faster then your natural growth rate.

where did u get it? i cant seem 2 find it.

you can't get min 15% in singapore. most people order from oversea like the link below. just providing the link for information only as until now, there are no indication min 15% work better then 5% version at all.

http://cgi.ebay.com/15-MINOXIDIL-5-...emQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item27af0fd5dc

if you intend to try, the second link will be better IMHO. just ask the seller whether can you get a 2-3bottle for a better deal.
